I knew that post would rile someone, especially the Waters and the

Earths.

Thank you for responding Mary.

Though I am curious to what type of verification process you have for

the above.

Dr.John M. La Tourrette

Ps. I really do NOT think that he is a cancer to the mind, but I do

think that what he says is total fluff. That was said to stimulate to

action some of the ones that read but say nothing. Dumping on their

guru will usually cause them to respond.

Now a real Water element will take up to a month to think about it,

before responding. You only took minutes. Your Wood is showing!

I can give my experience of what happened. There was a very

kinesthetic exchange of energy with this woman that I did not know

and it was a great feeling.

Verification? I did what Eckhart recommended. He can not, and

would not do it for me. I must put in some effort myself better

known on this group as doing the drills.

I put in some effort to being more than OK with being stopped at

the red light and did a mental welcoming to the woman crossing the

street in front of me. That was when she turned and smiled at me.

The exchange was tangible and felt great. I revisit that feeling

again as I am writing this post. It is powerful.

I could not see the energy or explain it when you transferred some

of Walter's energy to me in the first intensive I took with you. I

COULD feel something even if I could not put words to what I felt

and it also felt amazing and great.

I'm asking myself, " what can we get out of what he says " ?. I read two

of his books, and agree that they are mostly fluff, but.. " If I knew

how to learn something from this, how would I? "

What's the real point? Being in " the now " ...awareness?

I've been listening to the mp3's of the skypecasts too - and playing

catch-up on reading the book.

I've tried some of the drills ...

First, I notice the unproductive streams of thought in my head much

more now; and, with vigilance and awareness, I can shut them down

quickly. This is not just a stress reducer - I find it significantly

helps with the RV/RI conditioning cycles

Second, I use the drill to focus on breathing and the energetic

body. Like Mary, I do it at red lights too - and there are a fair

few on my way to and from work. I've found that both this also

reduces my stress levels. That's great - my blood pressure is high-

normal and that's too high for me.

Third, Eckhart recommends that when you are with another person who

locked into their pain body (worrying or complaining over and over

again about the same old stuff), you should be present for them but

refuse to feed the pain body. That has been quick to work and very

powerful for me with a couple of people. When I did this, they were

not able to maintain their negativity. That was great.

Dan,

Give it a test run and find out for yourself. Telling carries so

much less power than the actual experience.

My mind fights being present and squirms away pretty fast. I

suspect the minds of most others are in a similar ballpark. Start

with small things like red lights first.

Dan,

Even Time magazine said tolle's book was " Mumbo jumbo " .

Tolle's excuse for that was, " they are not yet ready " . Which is

funny, especially since the people who read Time magazine are the

movers and shakers in the world.

I've curious to how many really " roll up their sleeves and get to

work " people like that book?

I know that I can take about a page or two then I've got to put it

down.

It's one of those books that you wished were true, but you know it

your heart that it's not. It belongs with Santa Claus and the Easter

Bunny. Something that we can all enjoy, but we know are just excuses

for giving and loving.
