Hi Jo, Thank you for the amazing insight on your post. Working with auto-immune deep issues! It goes hand in glove with something called unconscious cronic emergency mode. It can destabilize the entire mind-body system and contribute to a host of problems. The following is just to point out " some " of the massive amounts of issues that can occur because of something way back then. What we subconsciously and emotionally " think " happened to us when we were children by well meaning parents can cause massive health issues when we are grown up. Some studies show that one of the most critical aspects of children's health is how secure or unsecure they feel. The fear of rejection or abandonment strongly shapes a developing child's personality, especially on a deep structure energetic level. The relationships children have with their parents can be the single biggest stress factor in their lives, and at a level that many parents just do not grasp. When children are scolded by their mothers, their level of cortisol (the stress hormone associated with the fight or flight response) often rises as much as 60% and then drops precipitously back to normal. And higher levels can linger for years. High levels of contisol cause a kind of cortisol poisoning, impairing our memory, our congnitive abilities, and our immune system. Massive fat gain can be one of the symptoms. " There is nothing more important to a child than figuring out what makes those close to them happy and what makes them sad " . They are awash in anxiety producing siturations they don't understand and think they are powerless to change. Then they grow up. I love this energy psychology stuff. You can unpack much stuff in a very short time with it's " specific attention " focuses on the problem and the meridian perturbances. John M. Guest guest
This subject is extremely important to me and my son. We adopted him at 6.5 months, from Russia. He has an numerous auto-immune issues and classic symptoms of cortisol poisoning. He is currently 4 years old and while he continues to make remarkable improvements he still struggles with speech, congnitive and emotional issues. We have done nutritional support, homeopathic medicine, and energy work with chiropracters and other healers. I am new to EFT but have found it helpful for both of us. I plan to read and study Donna Eden's work this summer. We are going through an accupunture allergy- clearing procudure and I think her techniques will help me keep our energies flowing after this treatment. Any thoughts or experience anyone might have about our situation are welcome.
