Guest guest
Hello Doc and all, What you say is of great interest to me, since I've been diganosed as pre-diabetic. Back in 1994 I don't know how it occurred, but my 7th Thoracic vertebrae/disc (I think) sort of jotted outwards of my spine and has never really fall back into proper alignment ever since, the pain was severe and it forced my introduction to chiropractic care. I have seen few chiropractors but stopped treatments since it's never been back into alignment and I found too much inconsistency among various chiropractors. Now I'll renew my search for a good holistic chiropractor around this area. Hi Kelmie, Thought you might find the following of great interest. John M. La Tourrette, PhD One of the most frequently cited causes of diabetes in the Cayce information is spinal injury. The nerve supply to the digestive organs (particularly pancreas and liver) is compromised by pressure on nerve centers in the thoracic area of the spine. Most often the problem is in the 5th - 10th thoracic vertebrae. Thus spinal adjustment (osteopathic or chiropractic) is a primary therapy for the treatment of diabetes. Guest guest
You might also want to investigate Tong Ren. This method, developed by Tom Tam, focuses specifically on blockages, especially in the spine. Tom is a qigong master who left China in the 70’s during the cultural revolution. In China he studied chiropractic, and he is well read in Western medicine. There are many “guinea pig” classes in the US and around the world. One website for more information is YinYangHouse.com – which also has excellent graphics of the acupuncture meridians. There is also a video segment on you tube that is from a local broadcast on Fox TV. He’s been getting more mainstream attention of late.
