I have tried working on a five minute routine but as my arms and legs

got weaker it became more difficult. That was a year ago and now I am

far, far worse. Donnas book is large so getting thru it with my bad

vision is gonna take some time. Can anyone make suggestions to help.

Some insite into my arm and leg strength. I cannot currently raise my

arms above my head at all. I cannot lift more than a small corningware

bowl in one hand. I am lucky to wash my hair once aweek because it

exhausts me.. I must do it in the sink and air dry it cause using a blow

dryer is not an option. I am 80% homebound in part because I live on the

second floor and literally have to use both arms to pull myself up the

stairs with railing and cane.

And if you can tell me what page the item is on in Donnas big book it

would help.

thank you so kathy

Kathy,

Many of the energy exercises are doable in bed or seated - e.g., cross

crawl. Since you are having difficulty with your vision / affecting your

reading, then try to save up for the DVDs. In the meantime, watch what you

can on YouTube:

=f

If you " can not " do the exercise, watch someone else doing it/even a video

of Donna, etc.. Watching/Visualization activates the part of your brain

that would be activated if you did the exercise.

See Donna's Q & A section regarding suggestions like this:

http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine_faq/energy_medicine_QA_1index.htm

For instance:

Paralysis and Visualizing Energy Flows

http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine_faq/energy_medicine_QA_paralysis_

visualiz.htm

Q. Dear Donna: If someone has lost the use of a limb due to a stroke, for

example, and can't physically perform the three thumps or trace his or her

meridians, can he or she benefit from visualizing these energy medicine

techniques?

A. Absolutely! Visualization and mental intention definitely move energy.

One of the first stroke patients I ever treated regained some muscle

function after just a few days of imagining the energies crossing over from

the healthy side of his body to the paralyzed side, and then again to the

healthy side. While this kind of mental exercise is good for anyone, it can

offer a secondary benefit to older people by helping to keep their minds

sharp.

Stroke Victims and Figure 8s

http://www.innersource.net/energy_medicine_faq/energy_medicine_QA_stroke_fig

ure8.htm

Q. Dear Donna: Would tracing figure eights be helpful for people who have

had a stroke?

A. Tracing figure eight energies helps the energy cross over from the left

hemisphere to the right side of the body and from the right hemisphere to

the left side of the body. It also helps energies cross over every part of

the body, through the organs, even the cells. Another person can do this

tracing of the cross-over energies (see the discussion of the Celtic weave

in Energy Medicine Chapter 6). The stroke patient can also imagine the

energies weaving. If possible, the person could trace figure eights of any

size with a finger or a hand, or you could do it for the person by tracing

the eights directly on or just above the body. Also, encourage the person to

" doodle " by drawing figure eights on a piece of paper. This helps to imprint

crossover energy patterns into the brain.

I also would suggest you trace your meridians - especially those in your

arms and legs - to strengthen them. You have the book so you have the

meridian flow chart. And you can watch the videos on YouTube to

learn/practice to trace along with the meridian time clock:

Tracing Meridians on Self

Tracing Meridian on Another

Again, even if you " can not " do the tracing, you can visualize it. I often

do this visualization when I am stuck seated like on a plane, train, etc....

Many blessings,

MichelleH

Did you quit?

>That was a year ago and now I am far, far worse.

So you did quit...and now another year has gone by and you are far,

far worse.

So what you aren't doing isn't helping?

I'm sure that doing the 5 minute drill in your case will not work. so

why do it?

You need much more.

1 hour of walking each day.

Proper eating habits.

Proper eliminations.

Proper attitude adjustments.

Proper energy therapies.

And a minimum of 5 energy sessions a day, at the very least.

>Donnas book is large so getting thru it with my bad vision is gonna

It's not that large. I read it the first time in 2 days.

More than a year?

How about the 60 minute DVD?

>Can anyone make suggestions to help.

One of Doc's favorite expressions is, " you do the damn drills you get

the skills. You don't do the damn drills it gets worse and worse " .

I'm sorry but how much do you weigh?

One of my friends used to weight 400 pounds until she had to crawl up

the steps. For her that was the final straw that broke the camel's

back.

She started walking everyday.

She started eating less.

She cut out all sugars, starches and carbonated drinks.

It's been a year.

She how can easily walk up those stairs.

Her weigh is 255 pounds.

> And if you can tell me what page the item is on in Donnas big book

>it would help.

No.

I refuse to do that.

You've had the damn book for over one year!

You do it.

And I do mean that in a helpful manner. If you do it you might start

to rely on yourself and your own abilities.

Hopefully.
