Hi Jeanne, I don't know about the person you are referring about but I can tell you about one of my clients, and how the " sickness identity trap " break-through came for her. She had become her illness. You know how people talk about " since nine eleven... " and that's like how they identify time and experiences in their life... My client used to code everything she said in terms of her 'illness' and NOT her other experiences. Just imagine what that " sickness identity trap " did to her TW and adversely to her immune system, her radiant circuits and her decision making processes. Words do show what is really going on in their unconscious mind. My client had been taken to Ashland City Park (a fabulous place)by her husband...and she was saying she'd not been there in a long time. So I asked " how long " ? Her answer, " since I got my illness " . So she 'owned' that illness and it had become her identity, the most powerful self-convincer for anyone on a personal level. (There are 5 of these; envirnoment, behavior, beliefs, values & identity). And she spoke in auditory tones of sadness. And I just laughted outloud at her. (A great 'breakstate' for those that are having a 'pity-party' and are inviting you in so you can share)... Then I told her, " Stating that 'you are your illness' in every thing you say won't help healing a bit. HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN 'TIME WISE' SINCE YOU'VE BEEN TO THE PARK? " She did get a bit indignant but replied, " It's been 8 months since I was there! " " Eight months hunnn? Say it again, say 8 months! " " Eight months! " I then had her notice how she felt when she said " 8 months " instead of " since my illness... " . When she said " 8 months " she was vibrant and healthy sounding. Funny how that works. John M.
