Of course that is one of the factors. Experience and feedback greatly affect that attitude of self-trust. And there are many factors. One factor is improper, too fast or too 'simplified' down training. Another factor is 'ego' on the parts of both people. Another factor is 'frozen muscles' (which is easy to by-pass with a surrogate)... So many factors. > that needs to be controlled? Or is `complete neutrality' in your > opinion enough? Good questions. Very good quality answers can be found in Fred's books, David's books and Donna's books. Here's a small part of my own viewpoint. When I teach energy testing to new people I first teach them to visually dissociate as they are being tested... I then teach them to kinesthetically calibrate how much 'muscle' they use on the positive trial test and to use the same amount of 'muscle' on the negative trial test. It does take a bit of repetition and learned calibration to notice the sameness. ....and I teach the ones doing the testing to focus only on the kinesthetics (touch/pressure needed) as they direct the test from a neutral emotional state. Then we practice like Hell with much feedback and many participants. As a 'convincer' we sometimes introduce a small Radio-Shack magnet, and energy test them as we hold the north side of the magnet above their left ear. We again test with the south side of the magnet above their left ear. They can then more easily notice the differences in their muscle strength. The more one practices the more they start to notice how their own frontal Central Meridian seems to function as an internal calibration... (If one does not believe in meridians, they can ignore the above and the function of the 3rd chakra that is also involved in that process of feeling other people's attitudes and emotions...) And they also give physical clues about the reality of the test with their physiology...so now I'm sure that some will say 'your just visually calibrating', which could be a possibilty, some of the times. Visual calibration is faster and easier then kinesthetic calibration (energy testing) once you can 'see' their arm drop a fraction of an inch when you make the statement. Learning how-to-energy test is much more complex than most realize... When I use one of the various Energy Psychologies I mostly use energy testing as a way of verifing to them the results they are getting... Using energy testing in Energy Medicine is very complex and complicated when compared to its use in ET. Way too much to put into a post. ....and using energy testing to know the future is not in my reality because of many different factors that can cause someone to hallucinate. Now if someone were to study all the factors about what they want to prophesy first, and then to use energy testing to calibrate their unconscious beliefs about all they studied, then that ET might be much better and more accurate than a 'guess'. As I stated before Frank Luntz did a great job to forecasting the election results BEFORE the election came out by just analizing the issues and noticing who gave fear and who gave hope. The one who congruently gave 'hope' won the election. John La Tourrette, PhD > Peter Baldé
