Guest guest
Hi Peggy and All! You needn't write to welcome me, because I've been reading the past messages and I already feel welcome! I was just sure I didn't have time to participate on this list, so I held off on joining, but...Peggy's such a fountain of knowledge that I had to see what I was missing! I've had a quick look through the files, and I can see how much I never understood about crystal use. I didn't even understand enough to know what to ask, so this list should be very helpful to me. I have always liked the look and feel of crystals, but never knew how to understand their energies, or to communicate with/through them. For the most part, I use crystals along with Reiki, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn how to work with them more fully. In regards to the exercises I saw that Peggy posted a week or two back - My current favorite piece is a hunk of chrysoprase, which I adore. It looks and feels like a chunk of the ocean. It is various shades of ocean greens and whites, and gold, and is about 3 inches (or 7 cm) long. Some areas of it have a good bit of depth, and looking down into it is like looking down into the water. It feels heavy and important, and comforting. It makes me want to climb inside it, and float there. It's surface is polished, and I rub the surface of it with my thumb as I hold it, and feel the sharp edges and smooth sides it was polished into. Feels nice. It has been in my thoughts quite frequently for the last couple days, in fact, so I guess I'll carry it a while. It seems to want me to. There is also a rock I found once when I was vacationing on the coast of Maine about 12 years ago. I found it washed up on shore in an ocean inlet, and it is smooth, rounded, about 4 inches (or 10 cm) long, of a pleasing weight, and blackish in color. It looks like, and is angled like, the handle to a small carving knife. I have wondered in fact, if it is a piece of petrified wood. It's surface texture is extremely pleasing - lightly pebbled, but smooth, and I can't help but slide my fingers over it again and again as I hold it. I have wondered many times what messages it has for me, but it hasn't told me yet. For many years (and still today sometimes) I keep it in my coat pocket, so I can hold it as I keep my hands warm. It feels...reassuring(?). Wonderful stone. I seem to have accumulated quite a few other crystals and stones over the years, and I amuse myself by looking for some kind of medieval coffer, or box to keep them in. I'd love to hear how others keep their crystals, minerals, and rocks. I can't just leave them sitting out. The cats love to push things off of the shelves and tables, so they can have yet another place to lounge. Anyway, I am looking forward to learning as I can through this workshop. Thanks Peggy, and " Hello " to all friends. There are a lot of familiar email addys in the members list! Love, Susan : )))))))))))))
Guest guest
Hi Susan! I have cats too and they LOVE the stones! Brass bowls and baskets is what I use - they still try to fish them out sometimes but for the most part they don't succeed. :-) Love, light and peace, Becky How much spiritual growth can there be in a closed mind? Took me awhile. I have many. Until I become aquatinted with all of them I have them in labeled baggies in 6 a-z file drawers. All of my quartz and most of my big pieces are all over my home on window sills and on tables. I've heard amethyst fades in sunlight so I try to keep them happy. ~~*~~ Linda in Florida ~~*~~ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»
