Guest guest
Hi all, I'm looking at the options of doing a correspondence course on crystal healing, versus a local face-to-face course which is much more expensive. The correspondence course is authored by someone called Marianne George who (according to the brochure) is " world acclaimed and considered one of the top-selling authors on crystals " . The problem is that Amazon UK has nothing by her, nor has another UK site which specialises in new age issues and complementary therapies. So, my question is, has anyone in this group ever heard of her? And if you have, have you any views on her material, please? Thanks, Brian Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Messenger http://phonecard./

I tried to Google her but other than a spiritual anthropologist article which I think in probably by a different person of the same name, I found nothing except the course description that you quote . as for other mail order courses I specifically do not recommend Malacti aka Ascepleus aka the hidden Master, Aka Geoffrey Keyte's Correspondence course, not only have many students reported disappointment as to value received he has on occasion been known to be unreliable dealing with money issues . I would have recommended Jim Elson's Similar course but alas, He has passed over unexpectedly very recently and I doubt anyone will be continuing his classes I do Not Know If Georgette Heyer -Hamlin and Adrian Hamlin are offering a correspondence course at this time They used to but I think that they are doing other work at this time There are a lot of correspondence courses in crystal healing and some of the prices are absolutely breathtaking . Guest guest
This brings up a good point. What formal training or certifications would actually be REQUIRED to legally practice crystal healing? Guest guest
Hi Brian, I have 51 books on crystal, crystal healing & gemstones. I've nothing from, by or about Marianne George. It certainly doesn't mean she's not famous, but if she is, it's a cult thing. Evelyn

I guess Marianne George can't be the " world acclaimed and considered one of the top-selling authors on crystals " that the course brochure claims. Thanks, too to Davron, and to Linda in Florida who gave a useful UK website for a correspondence course. Linda, do you know of anyone who has any experience of this course, please? I certainly like the course synopsis. Brian Send instant messages & get email alerts with Messenger. http://im./
Guest guest
Brian I haven never heard of Marianne George either and I investigated a lot of the crystal healing courses in the UK. Mainly through the Kindred Spirit magazine. Someone was asking about the Michael Gienger book 'Crystal Power, Crystal Healing' which I have. It is a very good book for someone new to crystals and has some wonderful colour pics with information on the scientific , emotional and physical properties. But it only deals with the well known stones and so a lot of the less popular crystals are missing. This is why I do favour Melody and have been able to identify most things in her books. I have all of them - a large investment - but still haven't found anything better. Evelyn - do you have a favourite ID book? I have scanned through Amazon but they don't give you much idea of content and illustrations. crystal blessings Karen
Guest guest
Hi Karen, I rely on Walter Schumann's " Gemstones of the World " for visual identifications. I'm the one that really likes Michael Gienger's book, but not for descriptions, more for the ideas he offers in the beginning. I keep thinking that if I ever have time, I could learn a lot. Diane Stein's book is useful too, sometimes. Evelyn

Sorry, if it is. Is it necessary to be " attuned " to do crystal healing, as you would...for example...with Reiki healing?
