Newbie Intro

Hi, everyone!

 

My name is Sandra and I joined this list when I heard about it on a

Reiki list I belong to. I've been reading some of the posts and

files so thought I better introduce myself. I see a lot of familiar

names here!

 

I'm 57 and my main interests are my family, Reiki, working at

building a small career as an artist, horseback riding (love horses

and ride a couple times a week), and now crystals. I also have a cat

and two birds who, surprisingly, get along fine together.

 

I've signed up for the crystal attunement on this coming Tuesday.

 

I feel energy from almost all crystals and stones, a lot more from

some than others. Lapis lazuli seems very powerful to me. I bought

a small lapis pendant about 10 years ago and used to wear it almost

daily. Recently, I bought a bigger piece of lapis and wrapped it

with gold wire (not a great job of wrapping it but it worked!) and

hung it on a chain. I wear that a lot now and find it gives off a

great deal of energy.

 

Since joining this list, I've bought a few small crystals and couple

of larger ones. My favorites so far are a piece of azurite, a small

blue lace agate, some citrine, and a tiny piece of dioptase. I also

bought a book by Judy Hall, " The Illustrated Guide to Crystals " which

I've found very helpful with about 150 pictures, descriptions which

are kind of condensed versions of what's in the Melody book, and

sections on cleaning, programming and different uses for crystals.

 

I don't know much about crystals so I'm really looking forward to

learning from this list. Thank you, Peggy, for creating it!!
