Guest guest
I started making a few bracelets with crystals. Not the fake beads but real stones. Well.... I bought a string of moonstone a few weeks ago and last night I undid them to string with turquoise (very pretty) Anyway...I had the hardest time. I swear some moonstone have closed up the drilled hole!!!! It took me FOREVER to find most of the holes to put the string through. Now remember..I just took them off a string. Can this happen???? Well if it can or can't.. It did. LOL I don't know what to do. I just might unstring the bracelet because these stones don't want to be worn. What is your take on this????? *~~*~~*~~ Linda in Florida ~~*~~*~~* The grass isn't greener on the other side...It's greener where you water it! ;o) ³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³ email protected by http://www.grisoft.com

Guest guest
I make jewelry and I know that beads are drilled in many different sizes. Some have huge holes, and can practically be strung on clothesline. Others, like pearls have tiny holes that often need to be reamed open to use even the thinnest stringing material. Just personally, I started laughing as I read your problem with the moonstones holes disappearing as you tried to put them with turquoise. I could visualise them squuzing themselves together, to avoid being next to the bulkier, bolder turquoise. Maybe their energies aren't compatible. On the other hand, maybe you're just using the wrong thing to string them with. Too thick. Good luck & thanks for the visual. Evelyn

LOL He thinks I'm silly anyway. Well, I took them apart. They just caused such a fuss I didn't want them upset. LOL I always give in to easy. I'll match them with some rose quartz.I'd love to put them with lepidolite but I think it's to soft. ? Never have seen any in beads. *~~*~~*~~ Linda in Florida ~~*~~*~~* The grass isn't greener on the other side...It's greener where you water it! ;o) ³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³ email protected by http://www.grisoft.com
Guest guest
I sell all the lepidolite that I make. It's such wonderful healing energy. It's a lovely stone. I put it with rose quartz sometimes, never tried it with moonstones, but why not? Tell me what you end up doing. Evelyn

Well, I put those moonstones with the rose quartz and the moonstones didn't give me to much trouble this time around. Looks nice too. My favorite is my moss agate. I just love agate. With this bracelet I added two aventurine to it. Just to add a different color of green. Do you have a web site for gemstone beads? *~~*~~*~~ Linda in Florida ~~*~~*~~* The grass isn't greener on the other side...It's greener where you water it! ;o) ³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³³´`*:§»«§:*´`³³ email protected by http://www.grisoft.com
Guest guest
Hi, Yes, lepidolite is used for beads, it is found wherever tourmaline is mined but is much more reasonably priced. It's balm for heartache. Rose quartz is a natural companion. I buy my beads in person at gemshows. Where do you live? There are some suppliers that I buy from personally that also have a web presence, like: <A HREF= " http://jewelrymaking.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fww\ w.artgemsinc.com%2Findex.htm " >http://www.artgemsinc.com/index.htm</A> www.tajcompany.com <A HREF= " http://jewelrymaking.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fww\ w.thaigem.com%2Fbea_shop.html " > http://www.thaigem.com/bea_shop.html</A> <A HREF= " http://jewelrymaking.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fww\ w.earthstone-inc.com%2FCatalog%2Findex.htm " >www.earthstone-inc.com/Catalog/index\ ..htm</A> Enjoy
Guest guest
It sounds as though the moonstone did not like the holes, but I doubt that they would mind being worn. Perhaps you could buy settings instead. This way the stone is not made unwhole. --- CLOXAHATCHEE wrote: > I started making a few bracelets with crystals. Guest guest
You're more than welcome. The more people that make jewelry knowing the stone capabilities, the better the customers will feel. Evelyn
