Question about calcite

Has anybody heard of purple calcite? I have obtained a piece that is

supposed to be purple calcite but am thinking it's probably really

just flourite? I upload a photo of it so you can look at it. I would

be grateful for any input.

 

p.s. Peggy I LOVED your writing on Reality I have having a great

time running the shatki functions on my crystals and seeing the

differences before and after, and between the different crystals...

it's awesome!

Yes I have heard of purple calcite I think there is a little piece

around here somewhere Calcite comes in a full rainbow of colors plus

clear I've seen chakras sets entirely of Calcite. Around here calcite is

pretty inexpensive in any color. Sometimes the texture of calcite is

different than that of flourite and I think it is softer some of my

calcite scratches easily
