Poppy seed quartz?

Could it be a tourmalinated quartz? Here is a page with some pics, see

No, my " poppy seed quartz " doesn't look like tourmalinated quartz. The

black specks are truly round and seed-like. I'll try to get it scanned

and post the photo. Any hints for best way to scan a quartz crystal?
