Guest guest
You are right about that Fiona- here in the shop we have really nice pretty pieces, and then we have 'average' and then we have our tumbles and rough- the stuff that sells the most actually is tumbles, rough and the less expensive average pieces These work just as well as flashy pretty ones. Many of our customers are pretty experienced at crysal healing, so they pick their stones by feeling the energies- I've actually had people comment on how ugly or plain the one they connect with is, but how it has a wonderful energy that the prettier pieces don't have. The pretty pieces make nice displays, and of course for lapidary work you would want high grade, but when using stones for their energies, they don't have to be beauty queens. Some of the Quartz that sells here best are the raggedy, chipped, rough ones from Africa that have made a hard trip from the mine to my shop- you'd think they wouldn't sell, but I put them out and in a few days, they're gone! I had one lady tell me the Quartz she was buying was so ugly no one would ever buy it, so she decided to 'give it a home'. Her second comment was on how good the energy of the crystal felt ;-) These battered stones remind me of how PEOPLE get scarred up and battered around in life, so I connect with them because they've sometimes had a hard time, just like me Blessings, Sam
