Guest guest
Hi there, This is a common one. On one Saturday recently AOL had 5000 reports from people like us. In my case and some of my friends, my mail box was overflowing with messages I am supposed to have sent, apparently from AOL admin, to a non existent address. It meant that I had over 300 copies of the mail I had 'sent' and over 300 'unable to deliver' messages. As AOL does not have block delete, I was required to delete them one at a time. As I cleared them, they filled up again. I was booted and when I tried to logon again, I was informed that my screenname and password were in use from another location. By phoning AOL, I was able to change passwords and start again. Still don't know the source, but had two AvProxy viruses in system, which my antivirus was able to neutralise. But am still left with having to repair 15 ActiveXCom files every time I boot up. Also can't use links from within an email for example - just get a transparent IE page and a freeze. Also, shutdown doesn't work sometimes. Have got to wipe harddrive, and start again, but so much stuff to download first. Sorry if this is long, but it may help others who have the same problems. Guest guest
Greetings!! Please excuse the cross posting, but I have run into a problem, and I am wondering if it has bothered any one else. I have encountered a computer virus. We have it all fixed now, but I was just wondering if any one else from any other of my groups had come across this. I was unable to locate the source, so I was just curious!! We run Norton (2003) thank goodness!! Apparently it is a pretty new virus. It came to me 4 or 5 times as a postmaster non - delivery message, but it for a message/email that I had never seen or wrote before (I was born at night, not last night!! lol!!)!! I just received the virus alert/email today, and we got it taken care of right away, so I am not worried that I might have sent it out, because I did not ( Our system is set up to scan incoming/outgoing, and you can not open or send anything with a virus attached.)!! Anyway, if you have received anything like this, I would appreciate it if you could let me know!! Have a wonderful day!! )O( ~~~ Merry Meet, Merry Part, & Merry Meet Again!! ~~~ )O( Blessed Be!! Guest guest
This would be why my group, and a lot of others, do not accept attachments. Also, if you would put everyone's email address in " b.c.c. " instead of " to: " or " c.c. " , hackers and spammers would not be able to troll for email addresses. thank you for your consideration. It's soooooooo easy to use that I guess it's too hard for some. Also, when crying 'Wolf', or in this case 'Virus', it would be nice to be told the name of the virus, otherwise I tend to discount reports as 'operator error'. I keep my virus protection up to date by actually paying for the subscription 'Gasp, what a novel Idea', and consulting with a couple of different virus websites. I also do not use Outlook express which is a big plus. So what's this got to do with Crystal Healing? Nothing!!!!!!!! I did do my Reiki meditations yesterday with a huge chunk of Tibetan Jet on my Sacral Chakra, asking for relief of pain, in particular, back pain. It is stormy weather here and it is really upsetting to the old bones. Byron
