Guest guest
I'm always here lurking I gues because I feel particularly in this field I really don't have much to contribute. I am really interested in Shamanism(s) for want of a better word and I have found a musician that I think is fantasic for anyone who does vision quests or visualisation as for me at least he really gets the alpha waves flowing in my brain. I find it particularly useful if I need a dream with a solution. I affirm I will recieve such a dream and play this at very low levels throughout the night (I wouldn't recommend this every night as I feel it overemphasises alpha sleep over delta for instance). Anyway I don't know if anyone will agree with me but I think he is really great and he uses sounds from the envirnment around him (natural) and they are great to have in the background or to meditate from. I have bought nearly all his CD's even though most of his stuff can be downloaded I think. THis this is because I feel his work should be supported. Anyway I've raved enough he's not my friend I promise here's the link http://www.diatonis.com/ he calls himself diatonis but his name is Stuart White. Please post any opinions on his music especially if anyone manages to set up the surround sound thing that he talks about which is all a bit technical for me. Anyway sorry to come out the wood work to rant of topic. Trevor.
Guest guest
Leigh, If you go to his page at mp3.com (search for diatonis)I think you can dowloads some tracks to see what you think. I like 'Magicians Cross', 'Tilting at Windmills', Journey Sequence', 'The sky Below', 'Glass of Starlight', 'Crossing the Boundaries' and 'Aphelion'. The only thing is you have to register to download but it's not a big deal. I think my favourite CD is Edge of the Dream World or Abient Life Vol. 1 but I got one of the packs to get a discount and I run them on random. I must admit I like them all. FRom the titles I guess he had visualisation/journeying in mind to write them or for this use. I hope you get as much from them as I did, Trevor.
