How do crystals help with anything?

Hi!

I was just wondering how crystals can do things like heal.. or

whatever they do. I don't understand.. Is it because of energy, or

what? If someone could please help, I would be very grateful. Thank

you for your time.

I have been working with stones for about 7 years. IN the jewelry

trade. and only the last two years have i better understood their

powers.

I find it to be a matter of our own conscience and sub-conscience

beliefs, combined ae one.

If you believe you have power, above and out of your own phsyical

body. That you come from energy, and are not just a robot, being lead

around. A spiritual feeling.. even in your own raised belief systems.

These are powers of stones, crytals, yourself, and other humans. I

am still finding my own spirituality. And this has been enhance as

well as seen better through the stones i have been working on for

several years. I didnt understand why i was drawn to them. THey are

beautifull. But when i found out about certain personal, comsic,

spiritual aspects that poeple have been associating with stones since

the dawn of human.. i was taken. ANd now have serval sets that i use

just for spiritual or healing purposes.. and contecting with the

earth.

If you can believe, they will work... each one works differently

than the next. Stones can help in healing and heal in some cases. But

it all starts with your intention and beliefs of the stone. It will

never hurt you or others. Unless used in a mean phsyical matter. But

if you listen to the stones, they are talking and they enjoy helping

us, and teaching us.

I am 26 and raise Christian.... My faith has only increase since the

stones and crytals open up to me..

this is my take, and each other person will have a different, or

similar take on them. HOw do you feel about them? They must of

grabed your attention, otherwise you wouldnt be here asking this

question, which i must say is a good one..

Even as a crystal healer, I do not always fully understand how they work

.... all I know is the do!

Crystal & Reiki Power

Have you ever picked up a pebble from the beach, held it in your hand and

felt the pulse of the earth's energy?? Or held a shell to your ear, and

heard the waves??

Since the dawn of time, crystals & gemstones have been used as protection

amulets, jewellery, and for healing. Records from ancient times, tell of

remarkable results from healing with crystals.

In modern times, we are all familiar with quartz crystals operating LCD’s,

watches etc, and indeed the first laser beam was created using a ruby.

Crystals play a large part in our lives, whether we realise it or not.

Crystal healing & reiki do not depend on any particular religious or

belief system to work. Reiki is not spiritual healing. A desire to be

healed helps the healing process; but is not essential. My husband is a

Reiki Master - and still he remains sceptical as to how reiki works - but

he cannot deny that it does.

Holistic Healing

Holistic=whole!!!

Holistic healing works on the principle of treating the whole person and

not just the evident symptoms of illness and dis-ease. It works by

bringing the body into balance, on a physical, emotional, mental and

spiritual level. This subsequently stimulates the body’s self-healing

process and gently heals areas of illness or dis-ease.

Crystal healing and Reiki both work primarily on energy vibrations or

frequencies. Research has shown that crystals are capable of receiving,

storing and amplifying energy. Unprogrammed, a crystal will do nothing,

but by directing positive thoughts to the crystal, you are storing these

thoughts to be used at a later point, either during the healing session or

afterwards at home.

In crystal healing and reiki, the energy is channelled by the healer to

the healee. The healer becomes a conduit, through which the healing energy

flows, in a similar way to how electricity flows through cables. This

energy flow during a treatment restores our life force energy and allows

healing to take place in a very positive and natural way.

Crystal and reiki energy are both directed with intent by the healer. The

use of sacred Reiki symbols is used to enhance this intent. This allows

negative energy blockages and areas of dis-ease within the patient’s body

to be cleansed and removed: replenishing them with positive healing

energy.

The connection between the crystal & reiki energy and the healee is via:-

the Etheric body (a subtle energy surrounding the physical body, commonly

known as the Aura)

7 main Chakras (wheels of energy, within physical body which vibrate at

different speeds and colours), and

Meridians (clearly defined pathways, through which life energy flows

around the physical body).

A Chakra may be open, wide open, closed or tightly closed. Each Chakra

should be open enough to allow positive energy in, while keeping negative

energy out. A wide-open Chakra allows all energy to enter: positive or

negative. They should be wide open when giving or receiving healing, but

gently closed down afterwards.

A tightly closed chakra indicates that no energy is flowing, leading to an

imbalance. A continuously closed chakra will lead to illness or dis-ease.

The meridians are clearly defined and established pathways through which

the life energy flows around the physical body. They exhibit

characteristic behaviour patterns, and are as well established as the

other circulatory systems within the body. They work to maintain the

health and harmony of the system, by directing life energy to the main

organs. Dis-ease and pain occurs in the physical body when these pathways

become blocked, and the smooth running of the energy flow becomes

disrupted.

Ultimately, by balancing the chakras, meridians and vibratory levels of

the body - harmony of mind, body and spirit is achieved.

Subtle Energies & Chakras

The human body consists of several layers of energy, all vibrating at

different levels and speeds. Man is not just a physical body, but has

other subtle bodies surrounding and interpenetrating the physical body.

These bodies are: - Etheric, Astral, Mental and Soul (Spirit).

For healing purposes, the Etheric body is of the most importance. This

surrounds and inter-penetrates the physical body at a distance of approx 3

inches, and is often referred to as the ‘Aura’. The Aura has several

layers in itself; and often extends out several feet from the physical

body. Illness will often show up in the etheric body, prior to

manifesting itself in the physical.

The etheric body connects to the physical by means of energy centres,

known as Chakras. (Chakra is Sanskrit word for wheel). There are 7 main

chakras within the physical body, again each of which vibrate at a

different level and speed. These chakras are aligned with the spine, and

also have a colour associated with each one.

Chakras may be tightly closed, closed, open or wide open. When tightly

closed, no energy can flow through them, and ill health and dis-ease

manifests itself.

However, at the other end of the scale, a wide-open chakra allows all

energy, positive and negative to flow through. Optimum position for the

chakras is to be open during a healing session, and gently closed at other

times, to allow positive energy to flow while keeping negative energy out.

The chakras are positioned in alignment with the spine. In addition to

the 7 main ones, there are several smaller chakras's throughout the body;

however; for healers the most important of these are in the hands.

Crown - Indigo

Brow - Violet

Throat - Blue

Heart - Green (Pink)

Solar Plexus - Yellow

Sacral - Orange

Base - Red

The base chakra, located at the bottom of the spine (tailbone) is closest

to earth, and vibrates on the lowest level. Each chakra vibrates at an

increasingly higher rate, until reaching the crown, at the top of the

head.

When receiving healing energy, it flows from Divine Source into the crown

chakra, travelling down through the body and out at the base chakra to

earth below.

Hi Michelle,

That is a deep question with as many answers as there are stones! My

understanding is that crystals and stones are pure color spectrum in

material form. They each have a unique crystal atom structure that

gives them their own vibration for healing and or balancing the body.

I like to use stones and crystals by placing them on each of the

chakra areas ,or just holding them in my hands during meditation or

visualizing (this can be based on your own spiritual beliefs..ect)I

have had great success with this method. I also enjoy setting up

crystal and stone grids. I am always interested in how others use the

crystal and stones and I want to learn as much as I can . Its also

alot of fun collecting and experimenting with them. :-) There are

many here who actually do crystal healings professionally who can

tell you the why and how tos much better than I. I just know that in

my experience the stones really do have healing power. My advise is

to read the files Peggy has provided here. Start with the

Introduction file and crystal stone properties files. Oh heck, read

them all:-)

Thank you, and you're right, I suppose I have been drawn to them for a reason. I

was just wondering, where can you find crystals? Can you buy them somewhere?

Since they are capable of storing energy, as one of you said it would probably

help me in my meditation, which I have just recently started.
