Guest guest
how to achieve your Goals 1. Clarify your goal. An unclear or vague goal can lead to disappointment and frustration 2. Make Sure It's YOUR goal. Go for what you want. Be certain that you are not following old programming or just trying to please someone else 3. You really want it You have to have some deep feeling about it . 4. The Goal is not limited Insisting on a particular form or outcome rather than than what is truly best for you can delay or prevent positive results 5. You believe it is possible If the goal is so grand that your subconscious does not think it can happen you can down size the goal, do not give it up. 6. Act on the goal Now, mobilize your resources and use the tools and abilities you have at the present time 7. Stick to it Stay in the game long enough to produce results 8. proceed on your own You do not need the approval of everyone you know first. 9. Accept change let go of what is not working for you. 10. Be confident Accept yourself and know you deserve and can achieve your goal . 11. Find support seek out organizations that support your goal . 12. Forgive yourself , others and events in the past let go of regrets, guilt and anger to remove internal blocks to progress 13. Be grateful and appreciative for what you have, who you are, and what you are doing 14. focus keep your intentions and attention focused on your goal Peggy Jentoft 1996

Guest guest
On this topic it is also worth mentioning two specific pitfalls. The first is not to set a negative goal don't set a goal like 'I don't want to live here anyomre' not only is it too vague bit as jenny says it is focusing on what is not working for you. Focus on what you want in this example write a list of the characteristic you are looking for in your perfect house in a perfect area. This will also make you want it more and if you have a picture then you will lso believe it can happen 'hey a place like this really does exist'. The second is to focus on the best side of a goal. Don't make a goal to have a million pounds if you are then going to spend that million on helping disadvantaged children. Think of why you want what you want and add that to the goal. Another thing that is very important and is implied by jenny but not explicitly stated is ALWAYS WRITE YOU GOALS DOWN. Lots of people think the mind is superior and can do without something as material as writing it down. Whilst this can be true you are gambling with you goal - you can't want it that much if you are trying to increase the work your reality has to do to actualise it. If you know your goal WRITE IT DOWN NOW. If you can't even make the effort to do that how will you follow through the steps to make it happen. Trevor.
