Guest guest
Hi, My name is Leigh. I've been reading the posts when I can for a while now. I have a question about Labradorite. I usually have low energy, a lot of major stress in my life and Fibromyalgia. I bought a pair of earrings with Labradorite. I wore them to the grocery store yesterday and I felt like I drank a pot of coffee! I had so much energy, but also felt hyper. When I got home, I started re-arranging furniture, which I haven't been able to do because of fibromyalgia. I had to take the earrings off. When I did, it was like I crashed! I then got very tired. What I need to know is, is this common with Labradorite? I always wear my necklace that is Rose Quartz and Amethyst. Would Labaradorite combined with the other 2 make a difference? I'm just learning about different crystals. Thank you in advance for any advise. Sorry this is so long! Leigh

Guest guest
I think that Labradorite is usually worn around the lower chakras, it has not only a shielding but also a grounding effect but I am now talking about the dark versions of labradorite I know there are light ones as well So what color are your earrings? Guest guest
Hi, Leigh - Nice to hear from you. When I first got fibromyalgia, I was meditating one day when I had a clear message to go to a crystal shop in the big town near where I lived where there would be a crystal there for me costing A$30. As I was pretty broke at the time, I had a lot of fear about spending this money. Nevertheless, I went to the shop and scouted around but couldn't see anything. The owner asked me what I was looking for and when I told her my message, she took me out the back. I walked straight to a dull-looking sphere and that was the stone, yup, A$30 precisely. When I went outside, I was really disappointed as it looked so boring! (These were my first forays into the stone spirits, by the way.) Then as I turned it, the most beautiful luminescence broke through, the magic below the surface. I just held this sphere which has accompanied me from Oz to England and, although I don't think this answers quite your question, the message was (from this particular stone spirit at least) that it opens you to the magic within you. My stone spirit said that when we are in pain we think we are the pain, whereas the pain is a manifestation of higher imbalances, that we are out of alignment with our true selves and we are being called into re-alignment. By the time we reach a point of pain, the imbalance can seem so over-riding that we find it difficult to see beneath to the magic of our bodies which talks to us and reminds us of our journey on earth. Labradorite enables us to see that, regardless of the surface of ourselves we see, below us is so much more and we each have our own inner light which we can shine to the world. Pain is the wake-up call (which doesn't mean that pain immediately goes away) but in the journey of difference in our life after imbalance at the physical level surfaces, labradorite calls us to our soul's walk on earth. I have found it interesting that as I have begun teaching again in England, and mainly I teach people to follow their dream, lots of labradorite is re-entering my life and I believe I will be passing it on to people who have lost the ability to see that, regardless of how they feel about themselves, their pain and their bodies, they have a lovely inner light with which they are re-connecting. As you were wearing labradorite in your ears, perhaps the calling was particularly strong! Remember, do half of what you think you can do when you're energised and then you pace yourself a lot better. If you're wearing rose quartz and amethyst, rose quartz is for love. Are you being called to love yourself? And amethyst can be for quietening yourself and going within to reconnect with the Divine as you see it. And at the end of this little lot which suddenly popped up from nowhere, the usual message, take some time to get into a quiet space within, hold your stone spirits and ask them why they are in your life and how they are helping you. I am only speaking from my own experience and my own stone spirit. Love and hugs, Mo. (Oops, accidentally deleted part of your message, it was about what labradorite does) ways wear my necklace that is Rose Quartz and Amethyst. Would Labaradorite combined with the other 2 make a difference? I'm just learning about different crystals. Thank you in advance for any advise. Sorry this is so long! Guest guest
Leigh- > I bought a pair of earrings with Labradorite. I wore them to the grocery store yesterday and I felt like I drank a pot of coffee! I had so much energy, but also felt hyper. > This makes perfect sense to me, though your experience alone is validation enough. There are two types of spirits called Labradorite, though they are actually not the same. Pehaps you may be able to distinguish which of the two you have. One, actual Labradorite, has a largely green/black colored base and the other, called Larvikite or Spectralite/Spectrolite has a blue/grey/black base. The colors of the flash are a bit different in each too, expressing the unique medicine inherent in each one. Labradorite embodies the solar element and expresses a more yang medicine. These spirits can energize the body and the mind, infusing all of our energy centers with this solar flash, like sparking a flame of rainbow colors and inspiring us to achieve great things in the world around us. The spirits of Labradorite bring the expression of our inner light outward, so that we can see it in the world around us. This stone spirits walks through and knows all of the energy centers in our body, from the base center to our crown center. Larvikite is the feminine pair of this duo, bringing the same flash but to our emotions and our spirit. These stone spirits spark our intuition, refine our inner knowing and sense of " aha! " Just as Labradorite draws our inner light strongly into the world around us, Larvikite fills the sacredness of our inner world with the light of our soul essence - filling us to the brim with our own unique wonderful soul. Larvikite can also dance through any of the energy centers as well, dealing with the inner magic of these centers to mirror the external expression of Labradorite's medicine. I can see how both would be very helpful, motivating and energizing on one level or another. These are wonderful spirits. As an aside, both of these stone spirits connect us with the strength of the Ancestors, supporting us with the timelessness of those that have crossed over, but that remain strongly connected to us here, now, always. > I'm just learning about different crystals. What an exciting time for you! The first steps on this path are always so memorable and often the spirits bless us with things like this - such real and tangible experiences - to guide us further down the road, deeper into the magic and mystery of the mineral kingdom. > Sorry this is so long! I have personally enjoyed your sharing a great deal. Thank you for taking the time to do so. I hope the above is useful in some way. Guest guest
- Fabeku Saturday, September 20, 2003 4:24 PM [CrystalHW] Re: New Here and Labradorite ? Hi, this is carrying on from the conversation on labradorite - when I was up in Aberdeen before moving to Lancashire I saw some lovely golden stones called Golden Labradorite. Didn't actually check them out, didn't have time, but from the quick squizz I had at them in passing, they weren't citrine but a similar sort of translucent colour. I have seen recently another name for this, but can't for the life of me find it. Does anyone have any further info on this stone spirit? Thanks. Love & hugs, Mo. In metaphysical circles they are more commonly found under the moniker " Golden Labradorite. " They are related to Labradorite, but there are differences geologically speaking. They are both Calcium sodium aluminum silicates, however. Bytownite doesn't display the range of colors found in the flash of Labradorite and Larvikite. It does, however, have a rich internal " glow " that is quite wonderful and inspiring. In Love, Fabeku

Hi, Fabeku - Just a quick thank you for getting back so promptly with that info. Guest guest
Hi Mo and Leigh, As someone who was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 11 years ago, I found this discussion very interesting. Most of the time I am able to keep my FMS under control with high quality nutritional supplements, quality sleep, spiritual healing and regular controlled exercise. Mo wrote: " My stone spirit said that when we are in pain we think we are the pain, whereas the pain is a manifestation of higher imbalances, that we are out of alignment with our true selves and we are being called into re-alignment. " I can't begin to tell how profoundly that statement affected me. BINGO! Thanks so much for sharing your information on Labradorite. It was very informative and I think I will try out this stone spirit soon. I did want to add some non-stone information. I have come across some studies that suggest a strong correlation between FMS and/or Chronic Fatigue and low blood pressure. Guest guest
Thank you for the link. I know that when I am in pain I am out of balance. I went to a fibromyalgia support group and a woman said, " I really have to balance myself now, I am doing three things in one week! " I thought, " Oh, that's what I am doing wrong, I am doing three things in one day. A lot depends on the weather, that affects me very much, along with eating properly, which isn't something I always do. I just went to a sleep disorder clinic and I get the results on Monday from my doctor. Not getting enough sleep, over extended, and being an Aires, I alway seem to have one foot always forward on go! Today is a good example, I went to sleep about 3.a.m., woke up at 9 p.m., posted on my web pages (3 mine and two belonging to others), had two friends arrive, one left and my boyfriend came in, my other guest left, and my boyfriend had a light supper, because I was making sweet and sour meatballs for a pot luck supper, he left to meet a friend, we met at the bridge club, and I just got home from bridge at 11 p.m., and here I am answering mail, and posting more. Other than a half muscle relaxant about an hour before I go to bed, and another half about fifteen minutes before I start my meditation before I go to bed, one blood pressure medication, multi-vitamins, calcium with citrate and magnesium, I take nothing for pain. I wore my yellow amber ring tonight, and all things considered, I am not feeling to bad. Thank you for the suggestion, I need to get a sizer for it, and then maybe I can wear it more regularly. I have a clear crystal quartz mounted on a necklace which I wear all the time. Love always, Butterfly Post your free ad now! I don't really want to go into detail but I can't thank you enough - even though this post wasn't meant for me in the first place! Welcome to the list, Leigh! Guest guest
Hi, Annie - I've been trying to trim this and went wrong somewhere, so this is about your reply. Glad I could be of help and I think you'll love Labradorite when you do find some, it is a truly lovely stone. I've had some with a blue and gold sheen, and some with a lovely gold sheen has just entered my life, looks absolutely beautiful. Love & hugs, Mo. Guest guest
I want to thank you all for the wonderful responses to my post. I have responses of my own I would like to make, but unfortunately, after reading most of yours, I fell in the shower and I'm in a lot of pain and can't sit or type much. I hurt my back, hip and ribs the most. I'm going to the doctor's in the morning. Is there a crystal that would help with this and rest. I can not handle Hematite. Guest guest
Hi, Leigh - Haven't got back to you before, as I have been pretty knocked out. But thinking of your healing problem, the name of sugilite came up, don't know why but there you go. It might help, if not perhaps others have suggestions too. Love and hugs, Mo. PS - Just looked up sugilite in Judy Hall's book The Crystal Bible and she says it is an exceptionally good pain reliever " it clears headaches and discomfort at all levels. " . If you haven't got sugilite, I could try holding it and transmitting its energy to you as I have a couple of pieces at home. - NightBird208 Monday, September 22, 2003 3:14 AM Re: [CrystalHW] New Here and Labradorite ?
