Guest guest
because of ren shen's nature- being warming (especially the korean), it > is probably aggravating some kind of heat in his body. I would balance > him with other herbals or advice him not to take that kind of ginseng... > I agree with Jason; this seems the most likely explanation. How old is the man. what does his tongue look like. Young people or those with internal heat must not use red ginseng by itself in most circumstances or dampheat will arise. I also agree. When I studied in the gyn clinic in China, we saw several cases of uterine bleeding that were caused by women taking too much red ginseng. I would be interested to know what your diagnosis of this man is and whether red ginseng is an ingredient you would reccommend or not anyway. Does he show heat signs? So, caution against taking herbs symptomatically without differential diagnosis and against using single herbs. Sharon w

Guest guest
Nancy, My kids use to fight like cats and dogs. I made a drastic change over a year ago and cook basically in line with Atkins diet - high protein, low carb, NO refined sugar or sweets, white rice or refined white flour come in the house. I will use Splenda and buy candies sweetened with malitol on occassion. I cook fresh whole food - meat, fruits, vegatables and a very minimal amount ever of processed foods which are loaded with dyes, preservatives, sugar - all kinds of garbage not helpful, especially for young kids. I'll use stone ground wheat bread and flour, sour flour, ground flexseed and nuts in cooking. Atkins multivitamin is standard for everyone and then other nutrients for other things individualized. You also want to be sure they eat 3 meals, dinner should be early by 6:00 so they can get to sleep early enough to get a full nights rest. The later you feed them, the later they will be up, and the more tired, restless and irritable the next day. We haven't had a fight since - and I mean ZERO. Grades are improved, moods improved, my house is sane. Guest guest
Blessings, Healing and Happy Thanksgiving to All! My prayers and thoughts are especially with Peggy and daughter and family. Intuitively the stone that is coming through as wanting to be present for her healing is aquamarine. It has come through for me in the past in a dream experience. I have since learned that it can be used to create a protective shield around the entire aura, whether the actually stone is present or not. It often comes when I am dealing with emotional issues of the heart. I'm being told that in your daughters situation it is being offered to assist with dealing with issues relating to forgiveness of others involved in the accident, those we might call " responsible " for the accident if we did not truly understand that " there are no accidents " . This forgiveness will allow those focusing on healing to allow the energies to freely go to everyone who was involved. I recently heard Dr Phil say that the real tragedy of an accident is not recognizing what that accident is trying to tell us about what work we are hear to do. When you start to pay attention to that, the real healing begins. I doesn't matter whether it's easy or not, what matters that it is real. I've been there before. My love is sent to all involved! Although I always read the posts left by others, I rarely take the time to respond. This year have been one of transformation and transmutation. Having moved twice in the last year, once to a spiritual sanctuary and again to a larger more private space, I am now preparing to make a transition to Hawaii in the Spring. Working with the Stone People (as they are referred to by Native American cultures) has been a real source of renewing strength and I thank There message has consistently been-- " We are not separate from you. We are the same as you-we are here to serve. Be Human, Be Happy, Have Fun " Occasionally I see posts (not very often) that seem to refer to stones and crystals as objects or things and I cringe and have often felt guilty for not taking the time to share with that person my guidelines for working with these wonderful entities. They are somewhat the same as considerations in working with a best friend. They are: 1. Greet the stone with an open heart and mind. Be present for what is being offered to you. 2 Express your gratitude for it's presence in your life. 3. Sit with your stone. Give it the time it needs to express to you what it has come to share. 4. Feel it's unconditional love and own knowingness of it's connectedness to " all my relations " . 5. Notice aspects about the stone that make it unique. Just as no two friends are alike, no two stones are alike. As you begin to work with any stone that has come to work with you, will notice an energy change. In working with a stone over a long period of time you may see changes in color, shape and appearance. I have many crystals that develop internal rainbows soon after I begin working with them. It's really exciting. I once had a piece of pyrite that completely crumbled after using it for some intensive removal of negative energy. In gratitude I created a burial ceremony for the stone invoking the energies of the seven directions. 6. Trust the wisdom of your new or old friend. Talk with your friend until you feel a sense of clarity about what it is sharing. 7. Ask your stone how you can best honor what it has just shared. Many stones come just to be passed along to someone else and I am just a temporary keeper. Some come to offer healing assistance I've been asking for. Some come with the intention of walking me through a spiritual journey I'm not quite ready to take and I give it a special place on my altar knowing that " someday " it will call to me again.. Fortunately the stones seem to have as much patience as they do wisdom. 8. Create a plan of action to follow through on what has just been shared with you. Feel the energy change within yourself because of the knowledge and knowingness the stone has shared. Acknowledge you ability to follow through on any plan that you create. Great Spirit, Creator, The Unknowable will only ask of you what you are in need of at the moment to recreate your own wholeness and a sense of your connectedness with the universe. Mitakuye Oyasin! All My Relations! 9. We are here to heal each other as well as ourselves. Each friend or stone comes into our life for a reason. As the saying goes " There are no accidents. " .Trust the messages that come through whether through vision, dream or intuition. I recently spent almost an hour debating with myself about whether to but a small piece of polished hematite available in a local rock shop. I tend to prefer unpolished stones, so the debate in my head went on for a while before I finally gave in a bought " the darned thing " . As I picked it up I noticed a line across its face that caused it to resemble a dolphin's head. It sat on my counter for a week before I realized it was not " mine " but intended for the daughter of a friend. When I had the chance to give it to her with the explanation that I knew it was meant for her daughter, she seemed amazed that I somehow knew of her daughter's connection with the dolphins, as I have never met her daughter, . I didn't know, the stone knew . Fortunately it was insistent enough to let its voice come through loud and clear and make me pay attention 10. A stone is a living being and just like us when we've worked extensively or intensively need a rest and vacation. I ask the stone first and if I'm now sure follow guidelines given to me by some who are more practiced in their use than I am. During the summer months I have left them on my deck to sun and moon bathe, but now that it's colder I've brought them in. Some stones, especially the halite and desert rose are water soluble, so I keep them in if there' a possibility of rain. I used to use a layer them in a large ceramic bowl with sun-dried sea salt to clear them and leave them outdoors for 24 hours, moving them occasionally to allow the sun and moon to bathe them. 11. The stones can feel your intention, so whatever you do or however you enjoy, appreciate and " use " them, do it with Love, Heart and Gratitude, Gratitude, Gratitude! Please feel welcome to share these thoughts with anyone you feel might appreciate them. I am grateful to those who take the time to post and share their requests, and knowledge and wisdom. I will always sent healing energy to those who request it and will try to be more responsible about asking responding to posts where I feel I have something to contribute.
