Guest guest
Hi everyone: I recently purchased two new stones but can't find anything on either. One is Novaculite - it's grey with a green spot on one corner. The other is Victoria Stone - it's mauve. If anyone can find any into on either I would appreciate it. thanks, Barb

Novaculite is essentially a stone of pure silica. It is a microcrystalline Quartz, sometimes with Chert and other elements. It comes in an array of colors, though it is most often seen in the white and grey shades. In a purely physical sense these spirits are known for their abilities to act as sharpening stones. The medicine of Novaculite is that of endurance, strengthening and, when needed separation. They are powerful at cutting energetic ties between people, places, events, etc. Their presence is thorough and finely honed, able to work at great speeds and with a high degree of efficacy. When we are in need to releasing the " ties that bind " these spirits step forward with a clear and decided presence. Novaculite offers us the ability to endure, to stand in our rightful place without being compromised by internal and external influences. They allow for a steadfastness without stubbornness. For people that are easily worn down by internal or external elements the spirits of Novaculite help to fortify one's energy so as to prevent this " erosion " from happening. A beautiful gift that the spirits of Novaculite offer is that of establishing boundaries - proper, healthy and necessary boundaries. If we have a hard time defining our space and our boundaries the medicine within these stones can first catalyze an awareness of the need to establish boundaries, then offering us the clarity we need to set the limits and finally providing us with the strength necessary to maintain them clearly. For those that walk a shamanic path these stones offer a great deal of medicine, but for the sake of brevity I hope the above is helpful in some way. Victoria Stone is not a natural stone in that it is lab created. It is basically formed by taking stones such as Quartz, Calcite, Fluorite, Feldspar, etc. and melting them down at extremely high temperatures and then recombining them, resulting in Victoria Stone, whose colors range from blue to magenta to green to a whitish silver, among others. I don't tend to work with synthetic/created stones, so I can't speak in detail about its energies. My experiences have been more limited with this particular stone. I hope this is useful in some way. I'm sure others will plenty to add. Just wanted to offer my two cents.
