Connie --- rosequartz <rosequartz wrote: I wrote this in 1997 and came across it today while trying to inventory my web site I have come to a rather radical conclusion LIFE IS SUPPOSED TO BE EASY LIFE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE A CONSTANT STRUGGLE Now some people call that the great lie of the new age and I call it a great truth. Yes we all have struggles and challenges in our lives yet often we have concentrated on struggle to the exclusion of all else. yes we have karma but a lot of our karma involves self punishment. The releasing of the karma then only involves learning not to beat ourselves on the head for our " sins " A Buddha's words are " suffer what there is to suffer enjoy what there is to enjoy. " forgive yourself and get on with life. A major karmic lesson we are to learn now is to free ourselves from insisting on being in pain and struggle and perceiving ourselves as victims it is in a way as though many of us have been in a cult of self torture . I asked my self where I was creating pain in my life and if I could create joy instead and found that I could create immense joy I believe that you can too. You've heard phrases like " No Pain No Gain " and Nothing Come Easy " . I am troubled greatly by these and similar phrases so often said about many things in and of life , It is said that we do not value what comes easily or without effort or cost, Why is that ? What are we doing to ourselves ? Could that be a seed thought for suffering, for struggle ,for sorrow and lack? I was told as a child and believed that you could have nothing good without sacrifice or payment and often heard it said that without cost there was no value. Sacrifice and doing without were considered a great virtue , even to refusing Gifts of needed things. Now I have discovered that abundance is freely given by the Earth the universe and the All. When we accept it. I do find value facing and working through challenges I just do not think that the universal plan requires the amount of pain and struggle that so many of us think is an essential part of life on Earth. In Fact I think that a Large Part of the Karmic lesson that we are here to learn is to let go of self punishment , put downs and Dramatized Martyrdom , Suffering is not a virtue endurance is not the sole measure of worth . Appreciation and joy in life are worth cultivating. and like other tender plants they need cultivation to grow We are blessed and need only accept those blessings to have and keep them " When you walk the path of light it will rain blessings all beautiful and good things will come to you like red and white flowers falling gently around you , birds will dip themselves in honeyed sauce and fly roasted into your mouth sweet music will surround you and you will live in towers covered with the 12 sacred stones and perfumed winds will caress you. " I now accept ,enjoy and appreciate what comes easily I accept and enjoy what comes from effort as well but will no longer assume that struggle of itself is the valuable thing. affirmation I let go of suffering and struggle and sweat .I accept each and every good thing as the gift of the universe with gratitude and joy for gain and growth and pleasure. I will learn the lessons that come easily with the same grace and skill than I learn the ones that come hard and give thanks each moment and share these blessings with all .. The Ultimate flow of the universe is toward harmony and balance I am saying that I truly believe that the " battle " has been won and we do not need to keep fighting it. My concern is with the perception of a need to struggle and is not a rejection of the concepts of exchange and balance. The quote is from an ancient buddhist prophecy about this time. How can any of us know what the balance sheet of another looks like? 1997 Peggy Jentoft When I first wrote this I actually got a couple of very angry posts and one Person even wrote a " rebuttal " which he posted on his web site and distributed in his advertising. So I'll add this " disclaimer " I am not going to force anyone to stop struggling and suffering if they want to I'm just saying that you Don't Have to. files are online at Http://www.solarraven.com/crystal-entry.html files, photos, and message archives can be found At: , photos, and message archives can be found At:
Guest guest
> Hi Peggy Thank you for posting this, it would be nice if everyone would start living by this.... I am intrigued though about how someone could be so upset by this that they would go to such lengths!!! It's amazing ow some people will hang on to the darkness so strongly. Would it be ok for me to pass this on? as i think a few people I know would appreciate it.
