Working with Underground is great as long as you hand pick your own

crystals. They have great variety, and quite a large warehouse.

What you see on the web is a fraction of what they have in stock.

However, it's not always an option to go to their warehouse and hand

pick all of your own pieces. I haven't always been happy with what

I've ordered from them, not through anyone's fault. The pieces I

was unhappy with were just mediocre.

 

The people that I work with, that I trust implicitly is the folks

from Raiders of the Lost Art. I love working with someone who will

remember my name, and the name of my company. Their pieces are all

of a superior quality (they fly off my website!!), and I have never

had a piece from them that I didn't like. They've spoiled me with

their same day shipping!

 

While their inventory isn't as massive as Underground's, they have

an excellent and updated variety, and are happy to look for special

requests. Their prices are higher than other wholesalers (not by

much) but their quality is also much better than any other dealer

I've ever worked with (and that's been a few). They are also much

more in touch with the spirit and inherent beauty of each crystal

which makes them much more pleasurable to work with. They don't just

sell " inventory " .

I had the occasion to directly compare their services a couple of

weeks ago. When I give a crystal workshop, I always include

different stones that pertain to the workshop. For this particular

class, I had to order some from Underground and some from Raiders.

I called them both on Monday morning (the class was that Saturday)

and *detailed* what I wanted and why. I am located close enough to

them that ground shipping is basically overnight (we are all in

Florida). I received the box from Raiders the next day, and all of

the tumbled stones I received were gorgeous. I didn't recieve the

box from Underground until Friday (I was getting a little nervous by

this point), and the tumbled stones I received were okay.

 

I'll still work with Underground, and I am not knocking them at

all. But my personal preference is to go with Raiders even if they

are more expensive.
