Guest guest
Spectrolite is another name for Finnish HYPERLINK " http://www.allaboutjewels.com/jewel/glossary/indexl.shtml#labradorite " Labra dorite (a variety of plagioclase feldspar). It is a grayish mineral that has brilliant iridescent flashes of color (usually yellow). The crystals are transparent to translucent. Labradorite has green or blue flashes. It exists also a white labradorite that is often called " rainbow moonstone " , but moonstone is not. The blue quality is also called " black moonstone " . If I am not wrong, differenze between labradorite and spectrolite is also on the color of the base crystal: spectrolite is lighter than labradorite. Let's hear from the rest od the list if anyone know something more (or difference) from what I wrote, because I am not totally sure... Does anyone know how they are different in order to give it the name Spctrolite? In Melodys books she refers Spectrolite to Labradorite. Mine look different from each other tho. Any opinions? thanks Regards, Colleen files are online at HYPERLINK " Http://www.solarraven.com/crystal-entry.html " Http://www.solarraven.com/crys tal-entry.html files, photos, and message archives can be found At: HYPERLINK " " http://groups..c om , photos, and message archives can be found At: HYPERLINK " " http://groups..c om
