Simulated stones, artificial stone, plastic and enhanced stones

Hi everyone,

 

I'm new to this list, and so I thought I'd respond to one thing in this post

and introduce myself at the same time.

 

My name is May. I'm a 51-year-old woman from Connecticut. I live with my

significant other, three wonderful cats, and an akita/husky cross. I work as a

disability advocate, and have a number of hobbies and avocations that keep me

quite busy. I'm sort of an intermediate herbalist, I sing in a community

choir, study Tarot, and make a little jewelry for fun and a little spending

money.

 

The latter is mostly what got me going on minerals and crystals. Up until very

recently I only worked with semi-precious beads, no glass. I've always loved

them, but never much keyed into their energies, except for a few. Then

recently I took an introductory workshop in crystal healing, and decided to do

a little reading and internet research. I found the Solarraven site, and here

I am.

Howlite is one of the stones I feel like I've responded to for a long time. I

kept a mala made from it in my car for a long time. I feel like it " hugs my

heart " , if that makes any sense. I really dislike dyed howlite. I can't help

thinking it dishonors both the howlite and the stones it's dyed to resemble.

I have a wand (as in pagan tool type wand) that I made from white birch with an

aqua aura crystal point in the end. I think it's happy. I don't know though.

It's very beautiful.

Hi All,

I also would be very interested in other peoples impressions and

experiences regarding Aqua Aura.

Below is a post that I placed in another group which received a couple of

negative impressions --

I have a question: When I was at a local Fair I came across a stall that

had some lovely Aqua Aura pendants. I bought one at what I thought was a

reasonable price and asked the stallholder for more information which was

not forthcoming. When I got home I did a search on Google and came up with

some general all round information but not all that much.

 

Now my question are -

1) Do you consider it to be a natural crystal or manufactured?

2) Are its properties the same as quartz or of gold?

3) How is it best used, especially in relationship to Reiki healing?

4) How do other healers on the list use it and what do they feel about

Aqua Aura?

*Do simulated gems have the same properties and healing as a genuine*

* stone?* *There is still a lot of controversy about this question.

The primary answer is no.*

 

* Simulated, completely artificial imitations of glass or plastic*

*do not have the same properties as natural stones though* *some

items can channel or be programmed ( by a skilled energy worker) to

hold a charge for a while ( not very long* *in my experience).*

*In an emergency an imitation bead can be used to channel a frequency of*

*the genuine stone but will not hold the energy very long at all unless

frequently*

* recharged /invoked and this IMO is best reserved for an extreme

emergency measure.*

 

* Plastics and fabrics and other man made objects can absorb /.

remember the*

* energies /stories of the events and places they " witness " so the

stuff* *someone had with them when they went to a sacred place like

Stonehenge* *might possibly be used to connect with the energy of that

place and can* *offer information to those who have psychometric

abilities.*

 

*Artificial Ivory and plant Ivory can channel genuine Ivory energy*

*frequencies This is " by arrangement " This can also be true for

imitation* *corals and non animal substitutions for things like bear

claws .* *We would recommend that you work with Deva and shakti

(spiritual energy* *frequencies ) rather than use an animal product,

if one those few occasions* *arises when one of those particular

frequencies /qualities is essential.*

*If you do use real coral, shells or bones , antlers etc. I would

*stones for the most part and there is more than enough variety to

choose from that one*

*Modified Stones **

A related matter is natural stones that are modified dyed. " enhanced " ,*

*irradiated or other wise treated or changed from the natural state.*

*Some stones such as Citrine are very difficult to find in natural

condition most available Citrine is actually heat treated Amethyst.

**Some Crystal authorities reject any stone that has been modified.*

* Others use them enthusiastically. I prefer natural stones and crystals.

My experience Has been that a few modified stones do accept

modification with joy.** Dyed agate slabs from Brazil sometimes are*

*dedicated to carrying the healing frequency of the Color stabilizing

it* *and projecting it into a room or other area. Most modified

stones are not in balance with **it and their energy feels jangled or

rough.*

*Howlite dyed to look like Turquoise or Lapis will allow it self to

transmit* *those stones energy if there is need and no other option but

prefers* *to be used as howlite . Howlite works for many of the same

issues that* *the stones it is dyed to look like are used for so it may

not make a* *difference that matters.*

 

*Many of the Stones that are irradiated or heated like Smoky Quartz and

Citrine*

* created from amethyst start out with jangled imbalances unhappy energy*

*In which case I treat the crystal itself restoring and healing it to

its ideal*

*state most of the citrine and smoky quartz will work in the usual way

after that*

*And stones that have had their color deepened will also have normal

energies*

*after being " healed " This is also true of most stones with chipped

faces the*

*energy can be restored .*

to someone in strong need of a stabilizing energy and it seemed to work

well for him. ( But this was someone who had been through as much

trauma as the stone.)*

harmony with it). These crystals do seem to often find their way to

that you usually read about in true crime tabloids.

energetic repair and healing of those stones and crystals . This can be

done with energy work and with apology and blessing thanking the stones

for their gifts and holding the intention of restoring the stone.

available to us for the purpose of healing and restoring the energy of

stones and crystals. Clearing methods and various intention and
