Nine other children had receivedtheir shots from the same vial that was used on Selvam. The body has beensent for post-mortem. Director of Public Health S. Elango said it was unlikely that death wascaused due to vaccination, considering that no other child was affected. Thepost-mortem results would reveal the cause of death. Dr. Shanmugasundaramsaid he suspected that the baby was fed in a wrong position by the mothersince milk was flowing from his nose even as he was rushed to the hospital.â€œMilk aspirationâ€ could have caused the death. "It is now 30 years since I have been confining myself to the treatment ofchronic diseases. During those 30 years I have run against so many histories of littlechildren who had never seen a sick day until they were vaccinated and who, in the severalyears that have followed, have never seen a well day since.
