Guest guest
Really liked the interest in hard sciences by a member of the group. Water has three unique properties and which are that a) water expands on freezing, b) it has the highest specific heat per unit mass and c) the highest latent heat of evaporation per unit mass. This is what maintains life in the water bodies, keeps streams flowing and prevents their freezing over. Ice is again a very poor conductor of heat and prevents life forms from dying from extreme cold conditions. This makes it ideal for acting as a heat sink for planet earth, its water bodies and atmosphere. Love Rajinder Sandhir - Dr.V.N.
