Guest guest
In 1997 I received a hyperextension of the brachial plexus in my left shoulder during a surgical procedure. The vast majority of the damage was to the motor tract leaving my entire upper extremity immobile; some damage was done to the sensory tract leaving me with extreme hypersensitivity in my hand, primarily the thumb and index. I've had nearly five years of occupational therapy which has helped maintain the range of motion (passively) but no relief for the hypersensitivity. Question: would acupuncture be able to lessen or even block some of the discomfort in my hand? Thanks, Guy.
