Guest guest
All I’ve pieced together some posts as you’ve suggested and added some additional info at the end. This is my attempt to get enough info about IDD to resolve an issue I have with the RV/RI CD Please feel free to provide feedback and corrections I’m posting to this group as this is where the info came from – please let me know if I should post it to any of the other lists Vince Melling *************************************************************************************************************** Part 1 – IDD - from three of Doc’s list posts that I found *************************************************************************************************************** Before doing the INNER DEMON DESTROYER you get their emotions on that SUDS scale. Then you energy test them to make sure their unconscious mind and their conscious mind are on agreement of that number. --------------------------- There is a neat drill that has several steps that might help. It's called the " Inner Demon Destroyer " , and what doing that drill does is erase the perturbances, as you have the forehead neurovasculars held, BOTH front and back...ALL THE WAY through the rest of the erasure process. This keeps the energy and the blood in the forebrain during the entire energy process. --------------------------- Just a question If I want perform the IDD for myself do I need a partner for putting his hands on my front or I can do it without it? This is covered on the DVD's. Hold your own NV's until you get both pulses, as you think of the event... Then go into the drill sequences. --------------------------- On the set-up phase, be sure and massage deeply BOTH Central Meridian neurolymphatics at the SAME TIME... Then do BOTH SIDES when you do the tapping along with the " reminder " phrase. Here's a quick run down of the " sandwich " 1. inner eye, both sides 2. outer eye, both sides 3. under eye, both sides 4. upper lip HOLD k-27's and sedate TW 5. lower lip HOLD k-27's and sedate TW 6. K-27's both sides 7. thymus HOLD other hand over solar plexus 8. Sp 21, both sides 9. large intestine lymphatics, both sides 10. Put left hand on solar plexus, karate chop 11. put right hand on solar plexus, karate chop 12. put left hand on solar plexus, tw-3-4 13. Put right hand on solar plexus, tw-3-3 Now run the gamut Redo the above 13 steps. That completes the sandwich. --------------------------- You then recalibrate the " old emotion " to make sure it's at zero. Sometimes the uke " thinks " he still has some of the old negative energy " just because he remembers it " . So you use the energy test as a verification process. --------------------------- I've used the above Energy Medicine/energy perturbance drill with over 170 people in my professional practice. Virtually all have had their " project " erased down to zero with one total sandwich. Then we replace that " energy hole " with some energy that is more productive according TO THEIR VALUES. *************************************************************************************************************** Part 2 – stuff I found on the Web 2.1 SUDS *************************************************************************************************************** What is SUDS? The Subjective Units of Disturbance Scale (SUDS) was developed by Wolpe (1958), although this version only uses 0-10 (instead of the original 100). The SUDS is a widely used measure of current reactivity, with reduced reactivity indicating recovery. This widely used measure has documented validity, reliability, and correlations with several physiological indices of distress. http://www.childtrauma.com/chmsavs.html --------------------------- This PDF document explains the gradations using the 0-100 scale http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/docs/SHY-10-Exposureplan.pdf --------------------------- Joseph Wolpe (1915-1997) was born in South Africa and is best known for his work on desensitisation. He developed a methodology for treating those with extreme anxiety about specific events, situations, things or people. This methodology involved the generation of a hierarchy of anxiety proving situations on a sliding gradient (SUS - Subjective Anxiety Scale) - least to most anxiety provoking. Thereafter the subject would be taught to progressively associate the lower levels with muscle relaxation. With each session the level would be increased until no level would invoke anxiety. Wolpe utilised his approach in the treatment of W.W.II trauma victims (PTSD / War Neurosis) when drug treatments did not improve cases. After the war he experimented on cats - he induced neuroses in order to attempt to cure them using various techniques. (20,21,22) He proposed three methods: (22,21) imaginal (imagining the feared stimuli and relaxing into it) in vivo (actually encountering the stimuli physically) automated (use of video / props to emulate progressive exposure to the stimuli) BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY AND HYPNOSIS Although many behaviour therapies can be undertaken without formal trance work or indeed any form of hypnosis at all many can be implemented more effectively and safely within the context of a hypnotheraputic session. Regardless of the type of approach employed the patient still needs to present with a sufficient level of motivation in order for therapy to be effective. (51% concept) (9p15) DESENSITISATION Circa 1947+ Wolpe used assertion to combat anxiety without overall success. He found however that although assertion was successful in some cases, in many more cases general progressive relaxation was more beneficial to tackle cases where the stimulus was not necessarily literally present. (An aracnophobe for example afraid of the potential presence of a spider). (17p151) (4p95) He further proposed that when a patient repeatedly imagines a weakly anxiety provoking situation when relaxed the stimuli would progressively diminish in terms of its' potential to generate anxiety. The objective to establish an alternative, more appropriate / positive response to the stimuli. (4p96) (17,p152) The SUDS scale <developed by Wolpe (17)> (22, 17p152) evolved from this thinking. SUDS (Subjective Units of Disturbance Scale) enables anxiety provoking stimuli to be categorised in terms of their ability to arouse anxiety for example as follows: (4,96) 0 - neutral - no disturbance 10 - worst level of disturbance imaginable by the patient The SUDS scale / hierarchy is critical to many forms of behaviour therapy and is used to establish a baseline for use by the therapist during treatment. The therapists objective (with the patient) is to translate more and more levels from " a level of disturbance " to " neutral - no disturbance " or a lesser level of disturbance. This is achieved by initiating a high level of relaxation and generating images within the patient of a level of anxiety creating stimuli equivalent to level zero. The patient is made comfortable with this level and images of stimuli from the next level are described in conjunction with suggestions for relaxation. This is repeated until a new lower threshold level is attained. (22,17p152,17p160+) (4p95) Most patients are unlikely to be faced with a single fear. It is probable that most people in fact possess a series of fears which themselves can be arranged into a macro-level hierarchy - fears compounded by fears which may themselves fall into a graduated sequence of severity or impact. Therapists should use the macro-hierarchy as a means of identifying which fear to tackle first. It is not appropriate to attempt to tackle all fears at the same time. One therapy should be used to tackle a single fear. (17p163) Wolpe et al suggested that the autonomic effects of deep relaxation are diametrically opposed to the characteristics of anxiety, and when counter posed against anxiety stimulating images of situations the impact of those stimuli reduces. (17p154) From http://www.changingstates.co.uk/behavioural_approaches.html *************************************************************************************************************** Part 2 – other stuff I found 2.2 Energy testing *************************************************************************************************************** I use this method that I found in Joe Vitale’s book “the Attractor factor” – Sorry don’t have the book to hand and I’m working from memory / practive. Spread the fingers of the left hand out as far as possible While sampling the substance or asking the question, put the third finger of the right hand on the little finger of the left hand and the right hand thump on the left hand thumb and try to collapse the left hand. *************************************************************************************************************** Part 2 – other stuff I found 2.3 EFT, K27, TW , Sp 21 *************************************************************************************************************** Download Gary Craigs free manual from www.emofree.com I have another downloaded eft manual from Christine Sutherland that shows the K27 and Triple Warmer spots I’m still searching the internet for a diagram with all three spots shown – I’ve had enough for tonight ;-)
