Dear Kelly and Anja,

did you send a noteabout this " redlaw144 " to get him removed from ?

He has created havoc in the Violet Flame Reiki and Spiritual Lightjouse group as

well.

If you see any posts at any of the Reiki related sites that sound

mean, nasty, or out of the sort in any way, kindly tell the

moderators to moderate that name. Ross Walter, Lord Ra Sa Nova,

retlaw, and so many aliases finally got an address like mine, or got

into my computer. At any rate, he is posting under my name, same as

he is to a friend of mine Anja, same as he has done to so many I know

and love. So if you see something from me that does not feel right

in anyway, please understand it may not be me.

Argante,

I joined a help list in hopes of finding some answers. It is

my belief that this person has found a new way of posing as us. The

email address looks like mine, but mail from it does not come to me.

My firewall is a good one and I downloaded a new program today that

says there have been no Trojan's here. Ohhh geee, as we speak I get

mail from me. Hmmmmm. I will dig further. If they are in my system

there is no sense changing my passwords, for they would just get the

new ones.

So how does one go about proving the emails at the are

retlaw and not just some equally demented individual trying to cause

yet more trouble? Meanwhile, I am searching for who to write to for

help and shall send off a note.

much luv,

Kelly...who was ever so grateful yesterday was an empowerment day

here, for it gave me a much needed boost. Thanks Peggy, it was warm

and wonderful as it entered and helped me to drift off into a

blissful sleep. Now I need to put it to work with my 'babies'.

Not sure if this will help your situation, but the only time I've gotten a real

reply from on anything, was to write to

abuse

I wrote regarding an international banking scam that was sent to me--but they

might help you too.

If you have any of the offensive e-mails the other person is sending in your

name, try forwarding them to the above address, with a short note from you added

to the top, so they can see what is going on.

Oh my god!!!what a coincidence!in my other !groups like

silid_engkanto, a member created a havoc their. after he was banned

from the said list, he began sending his message to the group with

the use of other member's e-mail account. i don't know how he did it

but the same thing happened to the said list.

Thanks, Ahreinya. I would prefer not replying onlist about it, but I

also needed to thank you as I just sent out a few letters to the mail

abuse desk.

~laying a rose of thanks at your feet~

I can't be sure, but it sounds like one of your friends has a Kletz Virus on

his/her computer. What this virus does is a bit complicated: It sends a mail

from user X, pretending to be person Y from X's address book. Obviously, it

sends the mail to every single person in X's address book, including lists.

Two things you can do:

1. Check if the mails have any attachments, even trivial ones, like html

files. If so, this is probably Kletz. In this case, put adds on all your

lists telling people to get their computers checked.

2. If there are no attachments at all, you might be dealing with a vengeful

individual. In this case, get as many headers of the emails sent in your

name, find the most common IP address used to send them, use any WhoIs

on-line tracer to find the person or at least his ISP, and report him.

Thanks, allay

Thank you, allay, but it was not a virus, just a spyware program

trying to stir a pot, but I'm doing my best not to add to the pot

stirring here...not unless it is a pot with special stuff in it to

clean my crystal babies anyways.

Allay, for those though who are having troubles with virii it would

be wise for them to install Norton for free and a good firewall for

free as well. Hey, even if you aren't having troubles, it is a good

idea as virii can come from anywhere.

warmth,
