Guest guest
I'm NOT very much into guardian angels but... Yesterday my daughter is at work so her husband's parents (Bob and Sue) decide to take little Justin (her son) out to a park where there is a deep, deep, deep, pond. Justin is just over 1 yr old and is walking and running good. The grand parents, Bob and Sue are both over-weight, out of shape and for exercise they eat large amounts of donuts and drink gallons of coca cola. Which means they don't move that good or that fast. In fact they move at the speed of a hibernating tortoise. Bob and Sue get to talking about 'babyobama' and the current state of the economy. If you don't know it yet, " The economy really sucks and many people close to retirement age have lost hundreds of thousands or even millions of their invested bucks that they thought were safely invested for their retirement " . So they weren't paying attention to Justin but to their lack in their futures. Then they notice that little Justin is NOT by their side. They look towards the pond and there is little Justin making a mad dash to dive into that deep, deep, deep pond. Of course little Justin has not yet been taught to swim. There is no way two old fat out-of-shape waddling grandparents can catch up with the little rascal and stop him jumping into that pond. NO WAY on Earth. Both grandparents are screaming at the little rascal to STOP, but you all know how hard of hearing little kids are when they are wanting to do something. Then out of the tall grass around the pond, the big wild alley cat jumps on little Justin and knocks him to the ground... ....then walks off as only a proud cat knows how to walk, strutting away with his tail in the air. Sort of proud of himself. John La Tourrette, PhD
Guest guest
I make it a practice to avoid voting for people who want to violate my civil rights. And I never believe a politician when they say they are going to take care of me. I ignore the thing Social Security sends me every year to tell me how much they're " going to pay me " from my money they've already spent when I retire. And as much as I DON'T believe politicians, I can't help but wonder about that " guarding angels " thing. Leadbeater wrote about it. You just gave an example. And there are other examples - for instance the little kid that fell in to the gorilla cage at the zoo a few years ago, and the mother gorilla picked the kid up and made sure it was safe. And I got LOTS of personal examples - I don't know if they are " someone else looking out for me " or if it's " ME " having a moment of awareness because it's important to know. Like about 3 years ago I kept having visions of having a wreck. So I started to pay attention. And within a couple weeks I avoided at least 3 accidents (one would have been my fault, two others would have been from someone cutting in front of me and almost hitting me). I'm kind of interested in what causes the type of thing you described. Is it " someone on the other side " looking out for the person and " influencing " the cat? Or do they temporarily " Possess " the cat? Or does the cat just " materialize " like Leadbeater talked about materialization of a physical body to help someone (that one stretches the limits of my beliefs more than other possibilities, but hell if other explanations are possible, why not that one too..). Sometimes you'll hear stories of someone late at night at the end of their rope and they " feel a hand on their shoulder " - a PHYSICAL SENSATION. Is it a distant loved one projecting thoughts and emotion to them? Or is it a " guardian angel " ? Or that person's own Higher Self using the physical sensation to bridge the gap in awareness so the message gets through to the conscious mind? Or do all of the above happen sometimes, and it " just depends " ??? Thanks, Jim >docspeed2001 <docspeed2001 >May 18, 2009 5:25 PM > > I'm NOT very much into guardian angels, but here's what ...
