Hi Tracy,

Welcome to the group. If you will go to the archives....and search just

about a week or so back, you will find all the information regarding

ADD/ADHD you could think of. We just had a discussion about this. :)

If you can't find them, let me know, and I will look up the message numbers

for you.

The subject line contained something about 'granddaughter' in it, if I

remember correctly.

HTH,

Candy

Welcome aboard Tracy,

Glad to have you here. I hope you enjoy the list. Please don't hesitate

to jump right in (as you have) and join in the fun!

As Candy mentioned, there was a big discussion on this in January, so

just poke through the archives and you'll find a whole lot of reading :)

Philip, 12 years ago my friend was dx with full blown AIDS and given 2 years to live. He has since met a wonderful lady, gotten married and been very happy while fighting this terrible disease. Hang in there. The meds they have for this are very good at keeping you alive and I am sure here you will find some good things to try along with them.

Hi Phillip:

Welcome to the Group! From your email it looks like you have

started on the right path to a better place for yourself. The first

step of course is recognizing that you can't always do it alone, and

the second would be seeking assistance from like-minded people!

Above all, you MUST keep a positive outlook for your own emotional

and spiritual health and ultimately, for your physical health. If

things get you down - find a place where you can relax, clear your

thoughts and just breathe! Be thankful for the good things in your

life - instead of being down because you have HIV, be thankful that

you aren't... (pick the worst thing that could happen to you!)

Instead of being down because you haven't been able to finish

school, go to the library or the local book mobile (or ask friends

for books on subjects that interest you) and educate yourself.

Instead of being depressed because you live with your mom - being

thankful that your Mom is alive, loves you and is willing to help

you and that you can get up and give her a hug and tell her you love

her. There are small blessings in life that we all tend to overlook

when we become overwhelmed by the bigger things.

Ok...now off my " think positive thoughts " soapbox <g>

For the condyloma, I would try mixing ½ ounce castor oil or olive

oil with ¼ teaspoon each thuja and tea tree essential oils and 2

capsules of vitamin E oil (pierce the capsules and squeeze the oil

into the mixture with the other oils. Combine the ingredients and

apply the salve to the area around the condyloma. Carefully apply

the mixture with a cotton swab. Thuja oil is very strong and this

formula can be kinda tough on sensitive skin, so I would be very

careful to apply the mixture only on the condyloma itself.

You need to support your body by eating lots of raw fruits and

vegetables, drink vegetable juice (especially carrot juice), eat

whole foods (brown rice - not white, etc.), reduce or remove animal

products (hard to digest, acidic, take more enzymes from your body

to digest), processed foods and food additives. The healthier you

eat, the less your body has to work to process the nutrients. Make

sure you get lots of fresh air and sunshine and participate in

pleasurable activities or purposeful work - create a life worth

living - That in itself will do wonders in helping your immune

system.

I found a report by Dr. James R. Privitera, M.D. at

http://curezone.com/foods/oliveleaf.asp

which talks about the use of Olive Leaf Extract for inhibiting the

production of reverse transcriptase and protease, enzymes necessary

for certain viruses, such as HIV, to damage healthy cells. From

research and clinical experience to date, we can say that

supplemental olive leaf extract may be beneficial in the treatment

for conditions caused by, or associated with, a virus, retrovirus,

bacterium, or protozoan. Among such conditions are influenza, the

common cold, meningitis, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), encephalitis,

herpes I and II, human herpes virus 6 and 7, shingles, HIV/ARC/AIDS,

chronic fatigue, hepatitis B, pneumonia, tuberculosis, gonorrhea,

malaria, dengue, bacteremia, severe diarrhea, blood poisoning, and

dental, ear, urinary tract and surgical infections. "

Very interesting stuff! The report had quite a few references that,

if read, could provide even more useful information along these

lines.

Other herbs/spices that can be helpful for individuals diagnosed

with HIV are:

Cardamom

Helps with digestive problems, pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting

and loss of appetite. Add to food during cooking or prepare as tea

Cloves

Stimulate appetite, help weak digestion, diarrhoea, nausea and

vomiting. Use in soups, stews, warmed fruit juice and tea

Garlic - Garlic - Garlic

Has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal function, particularly

in the gut, intestines, lungs and vagina. Helps digestion and

feeling of weakness. Also good for thrush, throat infections, herpes

and diarrhoea. Prepare tea or use in food

Lemon grass

Has a calming effect as well as soothing digestion and alleviating

stress. Use as tea (Very yummy!)

Good luck! Blessings to you!
