Guest guest
*look out, René is in a talkative mood!* First, to set this up, I have to describe/explain the cat. Stubby is not my cat. Stubby is my boss's cat. Stubby hates people (or, I've been told this), and hates my boss's wife, getting terribly jealous and spiteful (spitful? hissing and spitting...) whenever she would get next to him... you get the picture. Also, if she was out in the office/front desk area of the hotel, she would " vanish " if any person came near her, or if she heard anyone enter the lobby. Anyway, Boss & wife are taking a leave of absence from work, due to them being pregnant, and I am left babysitting the Cat. Being Hotel work, their apartment is attached, I am the front desk manager, and thus, I can open their apartment door from behind the front desk and get to the cat, and the cat can get to me. First few days/weeks, I would feed, water, scoop kittylitter, etc, and the cat would just be back in the apartment. I talk to the cat, telling her that we are in this together, that I'm doing my best, and if you want anything, come out to the office and talk to me. she's taken me up on this offer. now, I can't get her to leave me alone! Oh, and this cat was offered a Reiki Attunement during a mass " pet attunement " offered through the Reiki group I'm a part of. I don't know if she is Reiki, but when I give her Reiki she likes it, and I've watched her suddenly perk up, and start watching " things that aren't there " intensely, tracking them with her eyes/ears, as I'm giving Reiki. I think she sees my Reiki guide(s), but she won't tell me. Besides becoming my shadow, and having to have her nose in absolutely everything I am doing, she has become a regular little " people person " , to the point where she will leap up on the Front Desk and greet Guests. My boss, when told of this, is totally flabbergasted. (stubby is at least 6 years old, so has a very ingrained personality, one would think, huh?) This has something to do with crystals. Trust me I often wear a crystal to work, in addition to my almost constant amber earrings (and my Dear, Dear Darling Hubby just got me TWO beautiful Amber chokers!! great, gorgeous chunks of Amber), usually a rainbow-occluded quartz that DH wrapped and made into a necklace for me. When I started wearing the crystals, Stubby started getting more friendly. Secondly, a Dear Friend put together a beautiful " Mojo Bag " for me, with crystals for each chakra, in a leather bag, with fringe and my Name in letter beads. It was intended to help me with my work issues, so I have it at work, in my office, on the shelf over my desk. the fringe hangs down in front of my face, reminding me of its presence, so I can pick it up and rub it between my palms often (incredible energy when I do that!) the cat loves it. she doesn't " play " with the fringes, like one would expect, and she doesn't knock it off the shelf (she's gone nutz on climbing every shelf in the office now, has to investigate every single thing in the office)... she will, however, if I am a little bit stressed, go and sit on my desk, and slowly rub her head back and forth against the fringe. occasionally, I think she just sits and soaks up the energy for herself, kinda dreamy like. Once, when I was really stressed and upset, she jumped up and grabbed the fringe with her teeth, and looked at me. normally, as soon as I notice she is doing anything with the bag, she stops, and sits and waits for me to pick it up and calm myself. this is a cat that sits on my paperwork as I am working, will sit on the keyboard if I'm typing, and is totally fascinated with the printer and the fax machine when they are printing! but, she is totally respectful of the energies of my Mojo Bag. now, if I could get her to be in anyway respectful of me and my position there.... Guest guest
It sounds to me like she IS respectful of your position. And of your energy personally. Maybe she thinks you work too hard or are having energy drains and need her to remind you to fix it! Cats are smart. They see and feel things that are not perceptable to humans. Like the vibrations of the earth. Which is why they are territorial. they know where they are....and it is very hard to change their home as they are in tune with the energy and vibrations from the earth in their own area. What I just wrote makes me realize I need tolisten to my cat closer. He is actually my son's cat...but has chosen me as HIS. What can I say?
