RE: Hug a tree day

Sunny,

Those feathers that you are finding are gifts. When we do something

wonderful in nature (appreciating the beauty that is around us), Spirit

gives us many gifts. I have quite a collection of feathers, deer rubs,

arrow heads, rocks, crystals, etc.

I usually use the feathers to make ceremonial smudge fans (very tiny to

large), prayers sticks, prayer beads, (can use feathers in them, rocks,

too), talking sticks and sometimes I use some in my Dream Catchers. Some I

just put in flower arrangements, or in my fetish bowl of crystal points.

Enjoy. I am quite a tree hugger. When I get down, I love to tap into all

that energy the tree has...

Thanks for your response. I crashed as I sent this email and just got back

online tonight. I was reading the old emails and went wow just like me someone

found a hollow tree and then laughed cos it was my email.

I didn't get to see anyone's responses. I am so pleased I get to see them now.

Wow a whole month with only a minute or two online sporadically. It's been an

experience.

I also like to make fans and objects and art out of my nature finds. These

are turkey buzzards and regular buzzards, osprey, blue jay, I don't know how to

spell the snake bird Ieyna?. I'm bringing gifts back to the area of tobacco

and corn now.

I would love to see some of your ceremonial tools you have made. Do you have

pictures. Do you choose special stones for clarity (for example or other

properties) when making the talking sticks and fans, or do you just intuit the

energies you like and feel the right people will be drawn to them?

Re: Hug a tree day

What a great idea Sunny. Have a particular day in mind? Trees are so

important there should be more than just one day for it. Maybe everyday

should be hug a tree day.

Sharon

Yes, yes, every day. I am out there every week now this is an incredible

sacred park.

I have two acres of trees where I live.

I went out there today to hug my own trees and something is making huge

boring holes in the trunks of the trees damaged severely by the hurricanes. They

were not uprooted but the tops were all sheared off. Now there are huge piles of

bark on the ground. Only the hurt trees are being eaten but there are 8 of

them within 20-50 feet of my house. I saw no bugs in the holes but they were

above my head so I might not have gotten a good look.

Please send prayers for my trees.

I have a protection grid out for the general property.

Any suggestions on which minerals to use? I am getting clear qtz, obsidian

tourmaline and rose qtz. and Selenite. Anyone else agree or disagree and feel

there is a better grid?

It had been 2-3 weeks since I was in this section. The trees look like they

are all rotted now. It has only been 5 months since the hurricanes.

At first I thought it was woodpecker holes there are several about. But some

of these holes are marble size and lots of bark all over. Many holes look like

a drill .25 (1/4 inch) or .50 (1/2 inch) bit was used.

I did not notice this last month so it is rapid and devastating. It looks

like I will have to cut down many trees because they are falling down.

Thanks in advance for help. I have a whole month of crystal emails to read

I'm excited!

Sunny
