Guest guest
What about " barefoot " type practice. Send yourself out to the " hinterlands " where there is much need, little money and only email groups for support. This could be a rural community or one could choose to serve inner city peoples at much reduced costs. This is a good way to see a wide variety of clients with every kind of complaint who can't afford a " real " doctor or don't have reasonable access to one. Gone is the " competition " one faces in a city, full- price environment full of masters and those with more experience. This is what I have done and it has been very rewarding although a trial by fire of sorts. I have only 2 years in practice and regularly see stroke sequela, lupus, dibetes to name a few along with the usual allergies, dysmenorrhea and back pain. However, if you have a lot of bills, don't plan on being able to get them paid off any time soon. But do plan on getting a lot of experience in a shorter amount of time with less marketing effort than otherwise might be necessary. Also the rewards of helping people who are in such need and neglected by the rest of the medical establishment (allopathic and otherwise)are immesurable. Good Luck, Shanna
