This is unfortunately so true – farmed salmon

does not have the nutrients that a wild salmon does. Simply because, man does not how to

duplicate exactly what they eat in the wild. Wild salmon are full of omega-3

fatty acids because of the wild algae they get in their wild diet. If you go to http://www.mercola.com/forms/salmon_products.htm

– they sell the wild salmon – very expensive!! I have not tried it.

Farmed Salmon Looking Less Rosy

By MARIAN BURROS

While all salmon in the store may look similar, the Department

of

Agriculture says farmed salmon contains

almost twice the total fat, more

than twice the saturated fat and fewer beneficial omega-3

fatty acids than

wild salmon.
