Hi Amit,

Your mystical ideals are to be applauded I too feel the esoteric nature of

Taoist medicine has been lost.

However there is a new form of medicine that has emerged which combines

western medical ideals with ancient techniques. This was due to the

communist revolution and a desire of china to embrace modern culture.

I think we have lost much of the essence of chinese medicine. However, I

also feel long ago the Taoist idea of enlightenment was skewed. Somhow if

you were searching for wisdom you would live a long life. Or if you were

wise you would live a long life. Later it was understood to be if you lived

a long life you were wise. There are of course many old people who are quite

imature in thier development as human beings.

In the same way we have morphed the old wise acupuntruist or taoist lore

with the fast paced impatient child or western medicine. One is 2000 years

old the other 200.

Is there any teachers left who can show the real way to imortality. Is there

any Taoist Wizards who would spend time with us westerners who watch TV and

have forgotten how to listen to the trees.

We like ghosts wonder in a industrial support system cut off from any of our

real genetic roots. When we walk in the forest many are like space men on

the moon. Afraid with hightech footwear to protect the soul of thier feet

from embracing the moist nurturing soil that we were designed by survival to

live on.

The one mind I am afraid might be a fantasy now for it is so far away from

us children raised in a world of plastic and machines.

I weep for our future and long to be a gypsie in the forest like so many

before me untill only 5 or 6 generations ago.

I feel a barefoot walk in the woods would do many more than any number of

acupunture treatments.
