If there were it would become the standard of treatment. That does not mean that it might not assist. You should examine the book 'Cross Currents' by Dr. Robert Becker to examine the topic further. His research suggests that the greatest benefits for deep changes in the cells from electroacupuncture comes at ELF currents, but that the results are inconclusive. I am an acupuncturist practicing electroacupuncture currently. I will review my research CD specifically in regard to thyroid research and put some cites for briefs on thyroid research & electroacupuncture out there for the group, if you're interested.
