Guest guest
Has anyone here taken melatonin and valerian? I'm having a problem sleeping and thought I'd try them. Barb
Guest guest
Hi Barb, I have taken valerian before and it is relaxing...Something else that is good is kava kava. I take during the day sometimes because I have a lot of pain in the neck and other areas from stress....My boss has an obsessive personality and gets out of control a lot, and he just drives me crazy, so I have to take sometimes if the pain gets too bad and it will relax me some, but I only take 1 so it never completely takes the stress away. I usually sleep ok because I get tired in the evenings working on my hobbies of sewing and knitting and stuff like that. bye cindy The New with improved product search
Guest guest
Dear Heather, I can most assuredly assist you or anyone else with sleep challenges. A few months ago, I unexpectedly encountered an absolutely amazing technology. Please understand that I have a profound interest in all things spiritual and am academically trained in the rigors of scientific research. Quantum physics has always intrigued me as well. Having realized that the language of the universe originates in vibration, the area of bioenergetic medicine has become an area of increasing focus for me even within what we call alternative medicine. The technology of which I speak entails the use of a non transdermal patch. Although our first application is a stamina and energy patch, we have even now in beta form a sleep patch which is available on the internet. I would like to direct you to www.lifewave.com/drsabrown. In addition, may I suggest that you take the time to listen to the last 45 minutes of this 60 minute recording of Dr. Karl Maret, an internationally known MD in bioenergetic medicine. http://playaudiomessage.com/play.asp?m=128360 & f=CKFMDT & ps=14 & c=00FF00 & pm=2 & h=29%22%3e%3c/iframe In the years to come, this technology will offer many an ability to move beyond the imminent restrictions now looming before us as CODEX. In the worlds of duality, every advance by the negative force, of which I view the AMA as a leading representative, is met by a creative advance of its positive counterpart. The science of frequencies is not something that even traditional medicine can fit into a neat category. After all, the cells cannot distinguish between a frequency and a chemical, whether nutraceutical or pharmaceutical, and find greater resonant harmony with frequencies than with chemicals. Please examine this web site, listen to the recording and call me at 860-295-1072. Much Love in Spirit, Stephen A. I'm a NIGHT OWL aka- Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder. I've tried everything under the sun for my SEVERE INSOMNIA, but nothing seems to work. I've tried anti-psychotics, anti-seizure, blood pressure, anti-anxiety, mood stabilizer, and allergy meciations but it DOESN'T WORK! The only thing that I haven't tried is VALIUM, which my regular doc was going to prescribe but she went into false labor and is out until late MARCH or early APRIL. Bummer huh?! I'm just not tired when I go to bed. I need something to knock me out so that I can sleep during the night and wake up by 6:45 in time for school.I started going to a sleep clinic at the UW in SEATTLE, but they're not very helpful. They tell me to stay up at night until I'm tiredand then go to sleep.. But the problems is that I have school the next day and I can't be sleeping through the classes. Does anyone have any advice for me? I'd really appriciate you'r help!Much Love and Respect!PS- The fill in doc for my regular doc said that he was thinking about putting me on REMERON, because it helps people with sleep as well as depressive disorders. Is anyone here taking REMERON? If so, would it help for sleep?Heather Lieber 206-736-6244PLASHTEN (NEW EMAIL ADDRESS)********************************************* WWW.PEACEFULMIND.COM Sponsors Alternative Answers-HEALING NATURALLY- this is the premise of HOLISTIC HEALTH. Guest guest
Hi Heather, You've probably tried all the traditional remedies but one that worked for me many years ago is warm milk with a tablespoon of molasses stirred into it. The key is the milk should be only *lukewarm*. Might be worth a try anyway. Good luck, Donna > I've got a major Problem. I'm a NIGHT OWL aka- Delayed Sleep > Phase Disorder. Guest guest
This is my very first time posting in this group. Heather, your problems sound exactly like mine, and it sounds like we have been through the same things. First, let me comment on Remeron. I found that it may have helped a little, but if it did, I built a tolerance to it. In any case, it wasnt all its cracked up to be. The most effective sleeping pill I ever encountered was Restoril. However, the problem with that is it becoming habit forming. Now, what Im about to tell you might make me sound stark raving mad, but try it....you have nothing to lose. By the way, I discovered what Im about to say just by accident. I should also say that This has only been about a week ago I discovered this.....but so far, so good. Actually, its a combination of things I have tried in the past and then the thing I discovered by accident. I am trying to stop smoking, and it was told to me that NIACIN will help with the cravings. So, I went to the store and couldnt find any niacin but I did find a bottle of B complex vitamins with niacin in them. I dont know if its the niacin or one of the other engredients or a combination of the B vitamins together, but combined with a mug of herbal tea and a good book....I slip of to sleep without incident. I hope this helps you. CarlHeather <recordings19 wrote: I've got a major Problem. I'm a NIGHT OWL aka- Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder. Guest guest
Heather, Have you tried re-setting your internal clock very slowly? Just go to bed 15 minutes earlier every night? Sorry if you have already tried this.
