Dampness

I am relatively new to Qigung and TCM. I recently went to an

acupuncturist and was told I have dampness of the spleen. She gave

me a good explanation of this, but I would like more information

from other sources. I have never heard of this in western

medicine. I understand it can be caused by diet. Can someone tell

me what it actually is, maybe in general or western medicine terms

as I am not fully aclimated to TCM yet? What problems can dampness

cause? How to cure it, besides a better diet of course?

Thanks to all

Matthew
