If you know photoreading, or have any personal reading strategy, then use it. Here we'll chunk in different directions, but follow the presentation in the book sequentially. You can even whack away with the meta model! I did this and answered the questions for myself. Whatever you find in your analysis and application of the book is welcome! So let's start with the Introduction! There are several questions that I will keep in mind in this post. Some of them are the following: WIIFM? Whate else can I do with this? What purpose does this being here serve? The first sentence in the Introduction in page 1 serves as the core belief that let's most of the technologies in the book be plausible. Many should tatoo it somewhere in their minds. Think for a while on what that first sentence pressuposes and what it implies. In that first paragraph, notice several words that describe Donna's process: - Explore the energies (percieve) - Marshall these energies (control) - Study the eternal dance (so you can lead the dance...) - And marvel (have fun!) In the second paragraph, the first sentence again holds powerful insight. And a very powerful secret that really empowered Donna with great skill is in that paragraph. It is the last 2 sentences in that 2nd paragraph. How can you use this in your energy training? Many probably didn't expect so much from 2 short paragraphs... Onward. The languange of " energy " as Donna percieves it is in wavelengths, frequencies, pulse patterns. Very visual and kinesthetic... and can also apply to sound! So understanding and percieveing it increases our skill in its control abd management. What can we do with this? Also if this " Energy " is the common medium of the body, mind and soul... what does this imply i fwe can control and manage it? Now if you live out of your natural order (in cities, with daily stresses and such) that virtually hammers your energy systems out of sync (how specifically...) Donna claims that managing your energy system puts things in order again... I liken it more as a part of a daily maintaninace routine we all do, even though some of the order changes from one individual to another: - wake up - go to bathroom - do #1 and/or #2 - take a shower (do #1 if not done in previous step... LOL) - brush teeth - shave - style hair - breakfast - " energy " flow clearing, strengthening and shielding - go about your business If you jump one of these steps your in trouble. Some more serieous trouble than others. No breakfast, no fuel No showering, at first you stink. Later, develop skin diseases. can get infected and die in the worst case. But it takes time. No brushing of teeth, your breath might sting at firts. But in a while, you'll have no teeth! Not much fun. No energy routine, your energy pathways, the medium to the body, mind and soul deteriorate. You won't notice much at first, but think about this. Now many people die at an average age of 77 (81 in Japan). How do they reach that age? Healthy and vibrant. Or broken down and suffering constantly since they were 40, sometimes much less? I for one don't want to be suffering and ailing for 40 years. It's been seen that people that take care of their energy systems have experienced unprecedented relief and health, even after the young age of 60. Many examples of these people around. Take your pick of examples of healthy people in their 60's, 80's, etc. And a final note for today... Why would this chapter be called The return of energy medicine? Since I don't want to make each post a marathon, I'll stop for today... anyway there are several drills here that will take a bit to do. Enjoy! Tomorrow we'll continue on this introduction. This introduction sets the mental environment to become a real master of Energy medicine, so really chew on it and enjoy the flavor to get the most out of it... or not. Sincerely, Juan M.
