So, therefore, I think, a lot of students get left >behind from getting a good education (relatively speaking). Well, There's a couple of different approaches here. A favorite one of mine is John Gatto's. Gatto taught in a manner that actually reached the teenagers in a way that would be useful in real life, versus the manner that the educational system of New York demanded. For more on this I suggest you read, " Dumbing us Down " . On another note, I think that God has a method of culling out the human species with the use of natural disasters. Here's the disaster. Now let's see who has the brains and the training to survive. Disasters do happen and they happen all over the world all the time. What happened in New Orleans was small in comparison to what has happened many times over. For example, " there's a hurricane coming, and we are below sea level, so lets go hide in the storm cellar " . Those people were culled by natural disaster. Or were they culled by their own lack of creative imagination? For example, " the water is rising, so let's hide in the attic. " The water rose higher than the rooftops, so culled by natural disaster. My point here is that " imagination is more important than knowledge (Albert Einstein). What means the use of the magic question, " If I could survive this diaster, how would I? " Getting the answers from the subconscious mind, from the superconscious mind, and then taking action on those answers. It is a process of thinking and of direct action with calibration skills to be sure that what you are doin is working, or not working. If not, then the flexibility to do something else that is critical to the task at hand. My intention here is not to make fun of disaster, but to point out that any educational system should have included in it some form of the Clarity Model, some form of analisis based upon thinking skills like Transformational Grammer, or NLP... ....a model where any decision is made on " thinking about all possible results " . If that Clarity model was included in their education, a lot less people would be living in New Oleans, a city that the major population lives below sea level, where in the event on any natural disaster, they get real wet. Those people then would not hide in the cellar. They would know before-hand the possible diasterous results of such a limited decision. Those people might carry an ax with them to the attic just in case the waters rose too high. People with the Clarity model, and the use of imagination would not hide in the attic without thinking before-hand of the negative consequences of such action. They also would have prepared before hand for most of the negative posibilities. I think that type of thinking is one of the reasons I liked the McGyver television series back in the 90's. It is not the government's job to take care of people, regardless of whether the government demands that job, or not. So it's not, " the hurrican is coming, I wonder how the government is going to keep me safe " , but... " The hurrican will hit in 8 hours. Do I want to survive it? " " yes " " Okay. How can I survive it? " Leave town. Okay. Go where? Houston. Okay. How do I get there? modes of travel. Okay. How can I survie it? " Go to high ground. Okay. Where's high ground? How do I know it's high ground enough? How high do I need to be? And the presuppositions of many case senarios can be quickly evaluated, and then tested by energy testing to see which is most valid for each person. And there is the concept of " do you want a fear driven life, a life where every decision is made to avoid something negative? " , or do you want a life where you can make positive choices? Going towards where you want to be, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is probably a much better choice for most people when compared to making decisions to where they don't want to be, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I don't want to be sick, is much more disasterous than, I desire to be health... I don't want to be stupid, is much more disasterous than, I study and train so I have the knowledge to go where I want in life... So this post is about having the necessary training so that decision making for normal situations and survival situations are just easy, simple tasks that anyone can do. Skills that Dr. La Tourrette teachs on a daily basis. Sandy
