slightly OT, bone rosaries

Greetings,

I know this list deals more with crystals and stones, than it seems

to with bones, but I thought you all were my best chance for learning

from.

A few months back I was attuned to Violet Flame Reiki. Through that

I learned of 108 bead rosaries for saying the Quan Yin mantras. For

some reason immediately I thought of the old Tibeton Monk prayer

beads I once had two beads from. These beads were tiny skulls carved

from bone. My online searches at the time showed me nothing, and so

I searched for crystal ones. For some reason within though I always

felt an urge to have a set of the skull beads. Meanwhile, my search

continued for a nice set of crystal ones. I would find a set and it

would have 99 beads, which are common in some other religions/sects.

Then I found a place that would string them for me for the small cost

of $400 for a string...ouch. Yesterday though my sister was going on

a shopping trip and ten minutes before she left the house I decided I

needed to go with her. We walked by a nice little Chinese store and

I dragged her and my nephew into it.

Well darn anyways....Linda, if you are reading you will never guess

what I saw a beautiful carved crystal of. <oh yes, a nice lil Quan

Yin, but I had not the money for her yesterday>

Around the next corner, as I was still trying to find a way to get

the crystal Quan Yin, there sat some beads. Several long strings of

beads, and only one string with the 108 beads, plus the additional

bead as the counter.

I nabbed them and last night began a search on what the little bone

beads might represent. It seems as if once I had them in my

possession finding them online was much easier, now there are several

sites.

To my understanding they help ward off evil, but I am curious if

anyone here knows of anything else bone skulls might represent?

I found a few ties online to some different Gods and Goddesses, but I

am looking more for off the cuff meanings than what one would find

doing an online search.

much love,

Kelly*
