" - For the Yin and the Yang of it:) My introduction was Wadu Kai Karate in my teenage years. It was supposed to be a Soft style but it was decidedly Yang, Bock/Parry style of martial art and was not very effective on the ground. I later joined a Judo club and enjoyed the " Sport " style following rules and structure. It also taught me some ground work. Taiji Balanced me out and I now drill in the Soft side or Yin style of taiji. But I have learned that balance and skill in both Yin and Yang styles is imperative.
