There is no waiting time for absorbsion. I do take the tablets when on trips. I feel that the airport gestapo are so stupid that they'd mistake the powered Vit C for cocaine, and delay me until they figured it out. I rarely take baking soda since I don't have the kidney stone problem. I do take Vit C (in powder) 3 times a day. I dislike using any prevention for any problem that I probably will never get.
