Guest guest
Some nerve pain can be cause by medications. I'd re-check the side effects of any medicines you may currently be taking. Try Googling any meds you may be taking and then Google the med's name with the word " lawsuit " behind it. That will give you all the nitty gritty information that the manufacturer's web site won't. Guest guest
It can be caused by a number of reasons: 1.Spinal, pelvic, and cranial misalignment 2.Meta-Carpal Tunnel - (most carpal tunnel actually starts in the shoulders, not the wrists as originally thought.) 3.Poor posture both sitting and standing 4.Poor quality mattress or wrong mattress for your sleeping pattern 5.Incorrectly or inappropriate shoes - heels are notorius for creating misalignment issues and bunnions 6. Lack of exercize or physical activity 7. Deficient or poor diet habits - fatty acids feed the nerves, and most clients I work with are fatty acid deficient 8. Stress of any kind - be it physical, mental, emotional or negativity (Louise L Hay say's Pain is a guilt issue and Nerves are a communciation issue) 9. Spinal pain can also be caused by wearing pants/jeans that are too tight. 10. unresolved emotional issues with an injury These are just some of the causes of pain/nerval pain. Suggestions: 1. See a Chiropractor or Osteopathic dr for a complete adjustment 2. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing 3. Improve posture 4. Get a better mattress and even pillows 5. Start moving - walking, swimming and or yoga are some of the best forms of excersize for whole body fitness 6. Meditate 30 minutes daily for stress reduction 7. Change your diet, add nutritional foods and supplements, and eliminate toxic foods 8. Work to eliminate as many stressors as you can from you life. Stress reduction therapies can make a huge difference in stress levels. 9. Notice and change negativity around you, in your thoughts and words. Guest guest
First of all, in Chinese medicine you need to know the patient's " Bi syndrome " belong to Windy- Cold-Damp Bi or Windy-Damp-Heat Bi? Or Liver and kidney deficiency? Second, you need to know why the patient needs to do replacement? What is the diagnosis of Western medicine? Degeneration?RA? You could use electric stimulation. And also you could use Chinese herbal medicine for it! Hope it could help you! Wanzhu Hou, C.M.D., L.Ac., C.H. All Natural Medicine Clinic 4801 Randolph Rd. Guest guest
I went to an accupuncturist for tx of severe spasms in neck, trap area. The treatments did help reduce the spasicity. I use frequencies to help control them, as well. Other nerve problems are persistant and I finally found a current medication that helps numb the nerve endings. I utilize every alternative modality available but some disorders need a little help while getting these treatments. My nerves are receiving the wrong impulse due to major accident and surgeries. The medication is new and is considered an anti-depressant but works more-so with the noroepinephren transmitters: Savella is a new class that is now used to tx fibromalgia. If all else fails, I make recommendations to talk to their physician about this strategy while implementing the holistic modalities: TENS, magnetic therapy, accupuncture, etc. Sometimes we need to do a blending of both models until the body can make that shift to align with working with the meridians and energy balancing. I would give it a few more treatments though. acupuncture , drjudyhou wrote: > > First of all, in Chinese medicine you need to know the patient's " Bi > syndrome " belong to Windy- Cold-Damp Bi or Windy-Damp-Heat Bi? Guest guest
Mr. Andrew, Thanks for the message. I shall wait for your next letter on nerve pain. A. GOFUR MIAH Dhaka, Bangladesh. ________________________________ yogiguruji <yogiguruji Thu, December 10, 2009 9:38:04 PM Re: Alpha Lipoic Acid - Thank you Yogiguruji  Good morning, Karin, Thank you for your wonderful post. I appreciate that very much. It is a great pleasure for me to share information. As an acupuncturist, myself, who treats neuropathy on a daily basis, I would suggest to your acupuncturist to use e-stim. Electrostimulation is a process where small electrodes are connected to several of the inserted acupuncture needles. Variation of the current and pulse for 20 minutes over 4 weeks time has shown to stop this neuropathy. The contraindications for e-stim would be if the patient has a history of epilepsy (self or in the family) or if the patient has a pace maker. Otherwise, this is the best treatment for this issue. In the next post, I will post an article about nerve pain and some natural remedy you may consider, if you haven't already. This issue takes time to heal naturally, but with persistence, it will pay off! Went to many specialists and the only real answer we got was it might be due to a embedded virus that he may have gotten years ago. I hope the ALA helps even a bit because I would like to see him get off Neurontin. I have gotten him to go to acupuncture which seems to help but not on it's own. I have him also on Liquid Kelp which seems to relieve some discomfort. > > Thanks again, > Karin
