Guest guest
Hi, Well yesterday my doc gave me a prescription for Armour Thyroid but when I got home and looked at it the tabs did not have the Forrest Labs imprint. The imprint is " TCL 022 " . I looked it up at RxList-ID and it is in fact a 65 mg. thyroid pill. Since it has the hay-like smell I'm sure it is a desiccated thyroid. The pharmacist tells me it IS Armour just from a different supplier. Can anyone comment please. Guest guest
I take armor thyroid and mine has a big " A " with two small letters " t f " under the big A. I know you do not have armor it must be a generic. (It has to have the big A for armor thyroid) If you paid for armor I would not settle for a generic, I personally can not maintain my body temp with the generic stuff, even thou it is suppose to be the same, my body seems to know the difference. I would tell your druggist to get you the name brand stuff, in lieu of the generic. Elaine - the desert_rat Gettingwell Thursday, January 31, 2002 7:15 AM Thyroid med. Guest guest
Hi Elaine, I did (this a.m.) take the generic thyroid back to the pharmacy to get Armour. It was not in stock so he had to order it for tomorrow but first he tried to convince me that what I already had was in fact Armour Thyroid just not a brand name. I told him that it was in fact not an Armour product. He actually got hot under the collar and started telling me about his 8 years of schooling and " your telling me blah blah blah....... " . Don't you just love allopathic professionals the third leading cause of death in the US? Thanks Elaine, Ron _____________ Get the FREE email that has everyone talking at http://www.mail2world.com <> > > Elaine > 1/31/2002 8:57:21 PM > Gettingwell > Re: Thyroid med. > > I take armor thyroid and mine has a big " A " with two small letters " t f " under the > big A. > > I know you do not have armor it must be a generic. Armour is a trade name. That is like saying Pepsi is just Coke from a different supplier. Gets you sued by Coke. Maybe that is a good analogy to give to the pharmacist, and call up Armour and give them his phone number and address so they can educate him? > Can anyone comment please. > Ron > _____________ > Get the FREE email that has everyone talking at > http://www.mail2world.com > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been remo
Guest guest
Armour should be measured in grains not mgs. donna In a message dated 2/1/02 2:06:57 AM, mem121 writes: << I take armor thyroid and mine has a big " A " with two small letters " t f " under the big A. Guest guest
Not possible Armour is measured in grains and has an A on the pill In a message dated 1/31/02 11:21:02 AM, ron writes: << The pharmacist tells me it IS Armour just from a different supplier. Guest guest
This has been satisfactorily resolved. When I went back to the pharmacy to get the Armour he had to order he gave them to me and the generic as well so I got both for the price of one. It is a small pharm. with two owners and the other owner and I get along really well so I'm happy to stay with them now that we understand each other.
