Guest guest
" Fundamentally, most healers believe the natural foods contain all the sodium necessary for the body. Most healers believe, adamantly, that salt should be eliminated entirely from the human diet. " Wow! If true why did the primitive people we know of value salt so highly? Why do animals go to great lengths to get salt? Even those wild animals eating a natural diet? Maybe because there is a need for some salt. I feel that the salt we need is the natural salt made from sea water or sea water deposits. Do not forget it contains almost 100 other salts not present in " table salt " . One health food " Sea Salt " I found was just regular table salt- but from sea sources Also later research shows that some people are not adversely affected even by the foolishly large amounts of " table " salt they eat. My friend Art collapsed in the heat of last summer and woke up in the ER. The cure? He is to eat more salt when working in hot weather. Conclusion; be careful what you believe. And remember I eat a little Real Sea Salt daily. Lorenzo --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Evening Lorenzo, I enjoy reading a detailed message that substantiates my thinking. Often I think I am wrong about some things, so.... I always feel better when I see someone else thinks nearly the same. <grin> >Why do animals go to great lengths to get salt? >Even those wild animals eating a natural diet? >Maybe because there is a need for some salt. I understand they have traveled hundreds of miles to get salt. One reason, at certain times of the year, their diet is very high in potassium. This causes an imbalance, and they secrete an excessive amount of sodium in the urine. If they don't put the sodium back by getting some salt, they will die. >> And remember I eat a little Real Sea Salt daily. Yes, and I keep a small vial in my pocket. At the rare times I feel bad for any reason, I take a few mg of salt and immediately feel better. After one experiences this hundreds of times, as I have, no one can say enough bad things about salt to make me change my mind. Several of my friends have started doing the same thing. Some are actually measuring and making sure they get a specific amount of salt daily. I don't tell these people to do this, nor do I twist their arms. Have a great week.
