Guest guest
I've been making my morning cereal primarily out of a small quantity of cracked oats (1/3 cup) and about2/3 of a cup of Oat bran. I'm wondering if I should just give up on the Bran and concentrate on eating the whole oats (cracked, and soaked overnight)? This whole subject of the whole grain, the bran, the germ and any other parts that i'm unaware of is confusing to me. Seems that the whole grain should be enough since you get it all. Then again if the majority of the nutrition is found in the bran then it makes sense to eat more of that. Is there such of thing as Oat Germ? does anyone know of a good internet source that would explain the difference between these and what would be a good plan for their ingestion? thanks, joseph
