Guest guest
I ordered enzymes from Smart Nutrition and got ripped off. They charged me $12.00 for shipping. Well, thats how I feel, ripped off. On their invoice they have a comment that orders over $100.00 is to disregard shipping total on confirmation, then it says " non US orders must pay shipping charge for $12.00 " Well, I live in the U.S. and if they can correct the shipping order for orders over one hundred dollars then I expected a correct shipping charge for orders in the U.S. No where does it say that shipping is a $12.00 flate rate no matter where it is shipped. I made 3 phone calls and the first two calls I was told to call back at a certain time and talk to Jeff. My thinking was that Jeff was the only person who could make a correction to my transaction. Well, no. He is the only one that will tell you your not getting your credit. The other employees don't have a back bone to tell the customers that shipping refunds aren't given. This totaled up a number of dollars in long distance phone calls. His excuses were that they want a larger order than $20.00. I told him to set a minimum order. He tried that and it didn't work. So they are sticking with cheating and ripping consumers off with the shipping price. I am writing this to you all so you are informed because it is so expensive buying health products by mail to begin with. Shipping adds so much to an order especially if you want to try the product by buying just one at first. If you can afford to kiss off $12.00 then you won't have a problem ordering from them and being their best customer. I thought you all should know who and what is out there. Guest guest
Dear Group, If this is found to be another example of predatory marketing that is so prevelent today,.. then maybe a notice describing this practice with this particular company should be disseminated by other memebers to other groups and they to others, etc. To allow this practice to be known, so others do not fall into this trap. Guest guest
http://www.smart-nutrition.net/ That is the address if you want to look. If you click on a product and add the quantity 1 and click the add to order button then your shopping cart total comes up. Below the Total is the confusing information that the $12.00 applies if it is being shipped OUT of the U.S. Liz D Gettingwell, " Dot.Com " <dot.communicator@s...> wrote: > Hi Liz.. > > > > well now perhaps we all need an email address to simply share your voice > in this NOT SO NICE situation….. > > > > can you please send the URL so that I can scout it out…for I don't like > stuff like that either… > > > > thanks > > sam
Guest guest
I got the address for this company from another group. Aparently the member that posted the link does very good business with these people. But he orders $100 or more each time. He didn't have any idea of the shipping cost for any 1 item. This information is not properly disclosed. I am just appalled if the trickery in the reading of the costs for shipping. Guest guest
If you paid by credit card, you might want to contact your credit card company & ask them to intervene on your behalf. Guest guest
I stick with large supplements companies, like Swanson, and Puritan's Pride. We can't know for certain, with any of these companies, what the quality of their supplements truly is. But, in both the above cases, shipping is cheap, and their products are priced very low. - " Alobar " <alobar Thursday, May 02, 2002 6:27 PM Re: ripped off shipping > If you paid by credit card, you might want to contact your credit > card company & ask them to intervene on your behalf. > > Alobar > > > - > " elizdettrey " <Rabbitbrain > > Thursday, May 02, 2002 6:15 PM > ripped off shipping > > > > I ordered enzymes from Smart Nutrition and got > > ripped off.
