Guest guest
My husband and I are both looking for a good multivitamin to take daily and aren't sure what to get. We see advertisements all over for chelated minerals, liquid vitamins, green stuff, etc....so confusing, and then we hear that 90% of a multivitamin will pass thru your system unabosorbed anyway...can someone tell me the real deal and recommend some products to me that would be good? Thanks in advance... Marissa
Guest guest
Evening Marissa, daily and aren't sure what to get. We see advertisements all over >for chelated minerals, liquid vitamins, green stuff, etc....so >confusing, and then we hear that 90% of a multivitamin will pass thru >your system unabosorbed anyway... Possibly the 10% is all the body needs. There exists a very intelligent chemist in the body that can pick and choose as to what to absorb and how to process the nutrients. >can someone tell me the real deal >and recommend some products to me that would be good? Here is a link to one of the best multi vitamin combinations I have seen. http://www.baumshealth.com/products/nature.htm Generally, over 45 years, I have not been a believer in the multi's. However I do have a bottle of the product that I am suggesting you review. This is not a low priced product. I think it is worth the price Typically, I use these only when I am short of time and want to swallow and run. At times, I use these in addition to other selected supplements in my stock. The suggested dose is 3 tablets. These are large ones, which look like 2000 mg or more total weight. Maybe I should weigh to see the exact weight. I use two or three other products daily made by this same company, Natures Plus. Take a look at the link and tell us what you think. Guest guest
Evening Marissa, The other link did not give you an analysis. Sorry about that. This one does in fact show the analysis. http://www.tnutrition.com/souroflifmul.html Wayne

Nutrition in your foods is best rather than spending money on this vitamin and that mineral which might or might not be utilized. Get it all in one shot - juiced foods. Organics is best! Also order all the books from Dr. Norman Walker at www.rawfood.com. The Fruits and Veggies book and Diet and Salads are EXCELLENT RESOURCES and tells you all about the nutritional values too! I suggest taking a zinc lozenge (recommended by Dr. Walker in his books) and maybe some flaxseed oil. Jane
Guest guest
Wow, I think you will find that the Champion is megga bucks - best to go for a cheap juicer to start with to see how you get on. If you become a confirmed juicer, then the champion or similar will be the icing on the cake. If you have Magimix where you are, I can recommend the attachment that goes with the Magimix 3100 and up - it is brilliant and gets every last drop out of your fruit and veg. Guest guest
Morning Marissa, >>your system unabosorbed anyway...can someone tell me the real deal >and recommend some products to me that would be good? There is one other product that you might be interested in. The product name is called SuperGram III. I use this in addition to others. It fills a few gaps. Take a look. http://www.alacercorp.com/top.htm I also use another product by Alacercorp called Emergen-C that is listed on this same page. Guest guest
I know that is probably better but I just know I will not have the time to do all that regularly. I work in Manhattan and live almost 2 hours away so my commute makes it hard to even make dinner before 8pm. I need something that will be the best alternative. I can whip up shakes if there are good powders or liquids to buy..but I know I won't keep up a juicer thing. I have been thinking about wheatgrass though...would it be worth it to do that? --- DaRocksMom wrote: > > In a message dated 10/25/02 9:59:56 AM, > Gettingwell writes: > > << Re: Vitamin Question >> > > Marissa, > My suggestion would be to get a good juicer > (www.discountjuicers.com) I > hear the Champion is the one to go with. Guest guest
I had not read your second post before I fired off my last message to you. For the past 25 or so years I have been using multi-vitamin & mineral tablets from GNC. Not too expensive. Good potency. And discounts if I buy their gold card & shop on their discount days. Currently I am taking their " Mega-Men " vitamin plus large amounts of additional vitamin C (a little over an ounce a day) plus many other additional vitamins & supplements to get the potency up to where I want it. As you might guess, I believe heavy vitamin supplementation is right for me. Been doing this for 20 or more years now. It used to be a substitute for proper eating, which I fully acknowledge is not good. But now that I am eating plenty of fruite, berries, nuts, and veggies, I still want to have plenty of extra supplementation.
